Twenty minutes have passed and Laeci feels like she's going to collapse. Chester, on the other hand, is singing and laughing loudly.

"C'mon, Butternut, stop being so grumpy!" Chester shouts as he laughs.

Says the doorknob who has been resting in my palm while I walked for twenty minutes, Laeci thinks, but doesn't voice it aloud.

"Humph." She says instead.

"Ah well. Your loss," sings Chester, before he sings an opera terribly off-key at the top of his voice.

Suddenly, Laeci trips on something. Chester comes flying off her hand, still singing and unaware that he's flying. A translucent hand suddenly appears out of a blackish hole and catches Chester. It slowly descends back into the hole, taking Chester with it.

"CHESTER!" Laeci yells, hurriedly running toward him.

"AND WHY WON'T YOU MARRY MEEEE-" Chester just now realizes he is being carried by a giant hand, his once content face replaced with fear. "BUTTERNUT!"

"I'm coming!" Laeci is rushing to the hand, arms and legs pumping.

The hand is quickly is disappearing. With one last push, Laeci jumps a height that should of been considered superhuman and grabs Chester. Only the hand is way stronger than her, and she finds herself dangling from Chester. The hand seems amused, violently rocking and making Laeci sway.

Laeci thinks that the hand is being controlled by someone, because then, as if to sigh that play time is over, the hand lowers itself back into the hole.

Great, she thinks, more darkness.

Could the Queen be controlling the hand? Chester did mention that the Queen sought to eliminate all people from the "Reverse Universe". The officer that came to inspect the house that day saw her in her "inside out" clothes, after all. Then Laeci's thoughts drift to Papa Sam. Was he alright? Laeci cringes at the thought that she alone had put him in danger.

"Chester?" Laeci calls.

"Still here, Butternut, and making your day!"

Laeci marvels at how that response would of annoyed her greatly only a few hours ago. Now, Chester's voice is almost comforting, to let her know she isn't alone.

Down and down they go, plummeting to who knows where. Even Chester seems afraid-the air between them is filled with tension and anxiety. Laeci is still holding onto Chester, no matter how much she despises it, but she's afraid of letting go and falling into yet more unknown.

When Laeci thinks it can't get any worse(why did Laeci assume that? It will always get worse), another hand springs up and tears her off, as she was no more than an leech stuck on someone's leg(or hand, for that matter). Laeci screams, kicks, and even bites, but the other hand has a grip of steel. No matter how hard she thrashes, the hand is simply too strong.

Soon, the hands part ways in the never ending hole of darkness. Laeci ends her thrashing. What could she do now, anyway? Chester is gone and now she's alone, all alone.

Soon, Laeci reaches the end. Ironically, the hand sets her down gently, as if she was a fragile specimen.

She glances around, taking in her surroundings. And then she gasps.
