Jordan was sitting at the bar table, with a bottle of liquor in his hand, watching his friends dance at the wild beats of music blasting through the speakers.
He was usually a very conserved person -unless he was with his friends or drunk. This made his personality dark and intimating. But everyone close to him knew you it was just his way of drawing a line between outsiders and himself.
Jordan looked up from his bottle and took in the view.
The party was going on a full blast as dawn ended and announced the beginning of night.
The beach was covered with series of twinkling yellow lights and people dancing.
His eyes traveled towards Aurora, as he caught her twirling around on her legs. He watched, mesmerized in a way, the beautiful twinkle in her eye, the way her hair bounced around as she jumped, pumping her fist in the air, he watched as she laughed while singing the song with Mia, jumping up and down then suddenly smacking her face as she got the words wrong.
So caught up in the moment he was, that he didn't even realize he had starting walking towards her until he was standing right in front of Aurora.
Aurora turned, still unaware, and her eyes met with Jordan. She froze, hand still in the air.
It was as if, the place around them had sped ahead with time and it was just them, frozen.
Jordan raised his hand, hesitantly, and touched Aurora's face, he traced her features with a feather light touch before cupping her face in his palm.
His lips were just a thin line as he watched her grace his gesture with a heartwarming smile.
Jordan slowly leaned forward, watching her reaction, trying to take all of her beauty in.
He felt himself breathing hard when his lips were just inches apart from hers.
Aurora's eyes were closed and her lips were parted and he could feel her heart beating wildly as she reached up to place her hand on his chest.
His eyes snapped back into attention as she leaned forward, their nose almost touching but not quiet, their bodies parallel but not touching, it was nerve wracking.
Jordan blinked, falling headfirst into reality. His head snapped back as he realized what he was doing. His hand left her face as if she had stung him.
He hurriedly turned around, and started running opposite to Aurora.

Aurora stood there, still in shock, like a deer caught in the headlight, tears forming in her eyes. She called Jordan's name, screamed for him to come back to her, she yelled and thrashed around until someone had caught her hands and was dragging her opposite of where Jordan went. She still struggled and wailed, but her voice and strength were lost with the music blasting in the speakers.
Aurora stopped the thrashing after realizing that Jordan was not going to come back for a while.
She was a strong girl, not at all the one to cry over a boy. Gathering up all her leftover courage, she took the bottle of water offered by Tara. She gulped down water and eased up her erratic heart.
Her breath hitched again and she got up suddenly, startling everyone around her. She smirked, pushing all her emotions down and made her way towards the bar stand after watching everyone grin in satisfaction with her response.
She ordered a bottle of vodka and danced her way towards where her friends were standing.
"Let's dance!" She yelled while taking a huge gulp of her liquor. Everyone around her nodded enthusiastically.
"Who cares about broken promises" she whispered to herself, while raising both her hands and the bottle in the air and swaying slightly with the rhythm of the music.
She promised herself to let everything go, to enjoy her time and forget about the world, even her world as she danced hand in hand with Xander, smiling hugely as he twirled her around and then passing her to Theo as he caught Mia.

Jordan ran his hand through his hair as he leaned back on a black jeep staring up at the moon lit sky.
What the hell is wrong with me?! He growled at himself. Why do I keep doing this to her?!  He threw a punch at an empty space but his fist smacked with something hard. Before he knew what was happening the side mirror of the jeep shattered and pierced into his skin. Jordan hissed in pain and muttered a curse.
"Well I guess I deserved it" he mumbled as he made his way towards the rest room to clean his wound.

Just as he entered the room he stopped dead in his track.
"Hello Jordan!" The person greeted smiling. Jordan's eyes widened before narrowing.
"Don't run Jordan. I don't want to hurt you. But you have to understand, this is not your dimension, not your home." The man said.
"You are right. It is not, cause it is much better." Jordan replied.
He took a swift step back and turning around, sprinted towards the dance floor.
"Aurora!!" He yelled, panic filling his voice.
"Aurora!!!!" He yelled again and finally spotting her, he raced towards her and grabbed her hand. She was horribly drunk and so were most of the crew. His eyes landed on Theo and Zenna, looking sober.
"C'on we need to leave!! Hurry they are here!" Jordan boomed and they both looked at each other with panic filled eyes.
"Hurry!!" Jordan yelled and grabbed Mia, Xander and Aurora's arm and yanked them. "Towards the forest." He hissed. The others raced close after him as they heard footsteps following them.
