just in time

Everyone was quite for a second and suddenly they all started grinning.
"You are one heck of a girl." Xander said giving Aurora a high five.
"I know" She replied.
"Hurry they are on the first floor." Said Tara.
Everyone took out their clothes, standing there just in their brief essentials.
The crew was not the least bit shy.
They all had seen each other naked when they went to Ibiza last summer, and of course there was nothing to hide from family.
Collecting the clothes, they all knotted them together and checked out the size of the rope.
It was pretty long.
Jordan tied one end of the rope to a steady pole and yanked first, testing it.
It was plenty strong.
"Let's do this." Cris said and walked to the edge.
"Ladies first," he said, mocking a bow.
"Sure thing, Chris you can go first." Aurora said and pushed him down. Cris yelped and caught the rope.
The crew laughed and surrounded him.
Cris rolled his eyes and started climbing down slowly.
When he was quiet a distance down, Ron followed him.
After Ron, Xander, Tara, Zenna, Kyle, Mia and Theo climbed down.
That left Aurora and Jordan, who followed shortly after.

"Oh shit!" Screamed Chris.
"What Chris, you broke a nail?" Asked Tara.
"Oh shit Sherlock! You idiot, the rope ends almost a floor above the ground." He replied with a gruff.
"Heck!" Said Ron.
"Now what do we do?" Asked Mia.
"No worries let's just jump!" Said Xander.
"If I die then I'll kill you first.!" Said Chris.
He muttered a curse and left the rope.

Thank goodness for his reputation that he didn't scream.
Chris landed on the ground in a ball and rolled over to ease the momentum. He stood up gingerly, dusting his pants.
"Hah! Not as scary as it seems." He replied smirking.
"Look at our good 'ol Chris, talking 'bout bravery, why just an episode of goosebumps would make him pee in his pants!" Said Ron, as he prepared to jump.
As he landed on the ground, Chris flicked his head.
"Need I remind you what happened while watching exorcist??" Threatened Chris.
"Oh no you didn't!" Exclaimed Ron and tackled Chris into a punch. Chris was smirking while dodging Ron's punches, which aggravated Ron much more.
They continued to fight like pack mules until Xander and Tara were on the ground, listening to them bicker. Chris pulled Ron in a headlock and kicked his butt.
"Twenty bucks on Chris," Zenna said as she landed next to Xander.
"You're on!" Said Xander, snickering.
Suddenly Ron pulled his leg out and under Chris and he landed flat on his ass.
"Take that butt face!" Laughed Ron.
"I bet twenty bucks on Ro-" Kyle started but suddenly Ron too was on the ground face first...apparently Chris had used the same technique as Ron, just while staying on the ground.
"Well never mind" Kyle said shrugging.
Just then Mia and Theo jumped one after the other, both landing in a slight couch.
"Started without me guys?" Theo said putting a hand on his chest to mock hurt.
"Aww, must've hurt real bad!" Said Aurora before jumping down the rope. Jordan followed soon after.
Once they were all down, Xander tried pulling the made up rope from its hook -with limited success...after shifting by a few inches, the rope wouldn't budge.
"Hmm seems like the clothes want to stay here..." Jordan observed.
" Guys hurry the teachers are on the terrace! " Exclaimed Tara.
Indeed they were, just reaching the edge of the terrace. The teachers  found the made up rope and peeped down.
"Shit! Guys run! They have seen us!" Shouted Xander.
And they all ran, not giving even a second glance to their school.

"Where to?" Asked Theo, as they crossed the perimeter of the campus.
"The beach?" Suggested Mia, observing the crew's outfit.
"Hell yes!" Screamed Ron and gave Mia a fist pump.
"Woohooo" yelled everyone, jumping up and down like kids in Disney world.
"Let's go!" Hooted Jordan.

They walked towards the beach, talking and laughing about whatever first came up their heads.
They were amongst the first ones to the beach, so they each took up a bottle of beer and went towards the water and settled on the shore, with the waves crashing against their feet.
"Isn't this peaceful?" Spoke Zenna, mostly to herself.
"Real good!" Said Xander, sighing.
"Far far away from the life we created at school" added Ron.
"Technically its not that far away, we came by foot after all!" Said Tara. Theo nudged her with his shoulder.
"I don't think I want to go back home" Aurora murmured, wishing that no one would hear the slip. But of course, Jordan did -he could hear her thinking.
He placed his arm on her shoulder and she leaned into him, letting him comfort her.
Just for the moment.
