"Tessa, move faster!"

"I going as fast as I can! If you had let me wear my pants, we wouldn't be in this situation!"

Ari peaked out from behind Viv. "Tessa, jesus, move your fat ass already!"

The field was jam pack. People everywhere had come and taken their place in the lawn. The whole thing didn't really seem underground anymore. The waiting acts couldn't even get to their own seats to watch the concert. Which is why Viv, Ari, Tessa and Paloma were, well...climbing up a tree.

Viv rolled her eyes. "Tessa, you said you could make it in a sinch."

"It's been like eight years already!" Ari yelled. As Viv scolded her again, Tessa made the attempt again to climb, though failing miserably to keep her dress from blowing.

"Let me do it!" Ari tried to rush up the tree, but Viv held her back.

"No, I already told you. Tessa will pull us up because if you try, you will fall and break your head and probably die."

Tessa looked down. "Thanks for the concern Viv." She grumbled sarcastically.

Viv nodded "Your welcome."

"Oh you know what!? Screw it!" Tessa hitched up her dress, her knickers in full view. She climbed up fast and nimble. But wasn't lucky enough to go unviewed. A passing roadie whistled and cat called her as she sat down.

"Higher baby higher!" He laughed out loud as he passed by the girls. Tessa pulled off a long branch, and whacked the man in the head. He went flying at least three feet, cursing as he got back up and flipping off the laughing girls. When he was out of sight, Tessa helped the girls up one by one to sit in the branches of the tree. As they made themselves somewhat comfy, they talked excitedly of the show about to start.

"I can't believe we're here!" Paloma bounced excitedly. "And playing with such fantastic lineups!"

Tessa beamed. "I overheard from some bloke that Talking Heads were gonna show!"

Paloma's eyes widen. "You mean..."

"David Byrne!" They sang and giggled in unison. Ari laughed and Viv rolled her eyes.

"Paul Weller will be hear too!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Ladies, ladies please!" Viv rolled her eyes. "We must be professional about this now. No fan girling over any other performance..."

"...except the Clash!" Ari yelled, cutting her off. She swore she saw a hint of blush creeping up Viv's face. Tessa and Paloma giggled.

"Honestly Viv," Tessa shook her head. "I still can't believe you didn't bother introducing us to such attractive men!" She wagged her finger. "Selfish, selfish little girl.

Viv smirked. "Honey, if that's attractive to you, I could introduce you to a bunch of trash cans."

"No thanks, I'm not interested in any of your men from the past." Tessa laughed. Viv grabbed a couple of leaves and flung them at her, not trying hard to hide her smile.

"You're terrible!"

"We must have dated then." The girls all laughed a good hearty laugh. Suddenly, the world around them dimmed. They all turned forward, peering through the branches and leaves, at a grand stage before them. It looked so small from the distance they were at in the tree on a small hill. They saw an ocean of lights and colors greatly dimmed in the darkness.
It was a beautiful sight that could take away your breath. It sure enough took Ari's.

She sat in the tree, her stomaching flittering with butterflies. Whether they were nerves of excitement, she wasn't sure anymore. But she knew she liked it. Here she was, anytime soon about to perform her biggest performance yet. Her first real concert, nit just some cheap gig at a pub or street corner. Finally, the road ahead of the girls was growing clearer. They were on their way.
