I look towards my Mom then at Dad then again at Mom and blinked twice. I put my finger in my ear and give light fingering to see if I heard clearly.
You all will be wondering what's happening right? Then let me tell you. My parents has arranged a Marriage with someone I don't even know! For god sake!
"Can you repeat again? I think I didn't hear it right" cupping my ears and moving my ear in front of them.
My parents glanced at each other and then at me " We have arranged your marriage"
"Oh God! I thought I had hearing problem. why?" Said why in hostile voice.
Wondering who am I? Okay then let me introduce myself I'm Rachel Sanders. Age? 24. Freshly passed out college. I am average looking girl but what attracts people the most is my eyes. They are ocean blue which I inherited from my Mom. She is beautiful. My blonde hair reach just below my shoulder. Don't think I'm bimbo just because my hair are blond. Well everything about me is average. Let's get back to my parents and discuss about me getting Married.
" So? Are you guys going to explain me?"
" I think it's time for you to settle down Rach " it was Mom who said.
"Okay. Anything else you would like to say?"
"No sweety. That's all. We hope you are not mad at us." Said Dad
"Me? Mad? No Dad I'm not Mad. I am furious!" Shouted the last part
"Sweety please understand. You will come to know soon as why are we doing this. Please" his voice was vulnerable.
My head snapped towards my dad. I have never seen him so vulnerable. He has always been a confident person. He has always encouraged me to take part in various activities during my school and college days and never forced me to do which I was not comfortable with. You guys can say I'm daddy's girl. I can't see my parents sad, I've to accept this so that my parents can be happy.
" Okay I'm ready to get Married. Can you guys tell me who is that person who's life is about to get horrible?" Smiling at my parents.
The look on my parents face was worth watching. Their face was glowing because of the happiness and they both lunged on me for a hug.
"C-can't b-breath"
"Oops sorry Rach" both said simultaneously with an embarrassing face. I can see a light blush forming on Mom's cheek.
"No problem. So?" said after catching my breath.
Dad was hesitate at first but he know he have to reveal the name anyway. What he said next made every muscle is my body froze.
"Joseph Andersen"
Well I have just signed myself a death wish.
