Chapter Thirteen:

Parker's P.O.V

I chewed on my lip, waiting for Chase and Heidi to get back from the doctors office while Braxton stood behind me, his arms around my front and his face nuzzled into my neck.

"Stop worrying." He kissed behind my ear gently.

"Chase better not be a jerk about this." I mumbled.

"If he is I'll hold him down while you beat the shit out of him." He chuckled. "He won't be, babe. He will be in shock for awhile but he'll be happy. It's with Heidi after all."

"Anything yet?" Saint walked out and lit up a cigarette.

"Nope." I took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"He won't walk out, Park." Saint smiled.

"How do you know?" I sighed.

"He's twenty nine, Park. We aren't teenagers anymore. Chase has the MC, he has the money and the mansion. He has you and he has Heidi. Why wouldn't he be excited to start a family?" Saint shrugged. "I mean, fuck. If I had a girl right now, I'd knock her up as soon as I get my patch on her." He chuckled.

"Really?" I raised my eyebrows in surprise.

"Yeah. There are no guarantees in this life. I could die tomorrow or in twenty years from now. Why wait? I'd kill to have what Chase is about to have." He blew out a cloud of smoke and looked at me. "Plus, now, Sin's got Mel. Brax has you.." He trailed off and shrugged.

"You'll find her, man. Takes a special girl to be with a guy like us." Braxton told him. "But, trust me. It's worth the wait." He finished, squeezing me tighter against him.

"Sin told me your story last night." Mel tuned in, rounding the corner, smiling at me.

"He did?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Yeah, why didn't you ever tell me?" She cocked her head, sadly.

"Not something I like going into." I shrugged.

"Why?" She frowned lightly.

"Imagine Sin being taken to jail for eight years right now." I looked at her as watched as her face showed heartbreak and pain. "That's why." I mumbled, looking away.

"I'm sorry, Park."

"It's fine. How's Doug?" I asked as Braxton kissed my shoulder gently.

"He's sleeping. I'm giving him something for the pain and it's helping him. But he won't be able to walk for awhile."

I nodded and she walked off.

"So what is your deal now?" Saint cocked his head to the side, staring between me and Braxton.

Neither of us said anything for a minute.

"I'm waiting until she stops being stubborn." Braxton finally said, kissing my cheek.

Saint looked at me.

"I'm waiting for him to man up and ask me." I smirked.

"What?" Braxton spun me around so he was looking at me.
