Opening your eyes slowly, you winced in pain as a headache struck you. The only thing you remembered was falling from the overworld and landing with a loud thud. When you regained your vision, you slowly pushed yourself up into a sitting position, glancing to different parts of the area. You noticed you were sitting on flowers, which could of possibly saved you from dying, although the idea sounded impossible.

Eventually, you stood up on your sore legs, wincing once more, but glad to know you didn't break any bones. Noticing a figure in the distance, that appeared to be a small cat or dog-like creature, you began to head towards it with the all the strength you could muster.

It seemed to have notice you getting closer, as it happily greeted you with, "Hoi! I'm Temmie, Temmie the Tem!"

". . .U-um," you started with a hoarse voice. You honestly weren't expecting it to be able to speak. "H-hi. I'm [Y/n]. Do you know where we are. . ?"

Temmie laughed in a way that sounded like it was mocking you, like your question was stupid.

"Why, you're in the Underground!" it answered, smiling an odd smile that sent a shiver down your spine. You slowly nodded in acknowledgement, shaking slightly. Who knew such a small creature could be so. . .off-putting?

It opened its mouth to speak some more, but footsteps cut it off. As another tall figure came into your view, Temmie scowled.

"Ah! I knew I heard someone!" the person—well, goat—exclaimed, walking over to you. He wore a purple dress and a friendly smile, though you were still worried. What if he was just as strange as Temmie was? You glanced to where Temmie once was only to find him gone. Weird.

"Hello, my child." You looked up towards the tall goat creature, who kept the same caring expression. "My name is Asgore, and you are . . ?"

"[Y-Y/n]," you stuttered in reply, smiling a weary smile.

"Ah. Come, my child. I'll show you around." Asgore held out a hand for you to take.

'Should I take it. . ?' You thought to yourself, before sighing quietly. 'Might as well. And I guess he's more trustworthy. . .'

Taking his hand, he began to lead you into another area. There was a bright, yellow star floating in the middle of two staircases. You blinked, confused how that could exist, and let go of Asgore's hand to walk over to it. He went up a staircase, but looked towards you to make sure you weren't going to run off or anything of the sort. You curiously touched the star, causing a strange feeling flow through you, yet nothing else happened. Shaking the feeling off, you went back to Asgore, who smiled and continued to walk through different rooms.

He explained to you the different dangers of the Underground, and even let you figure out some puzzles. His company helped you feel much safer, and he really did seem like a fatherly figure.

Once he arrived in a room that was a rather long hallway, he looked towards you with a serious look. You locked eye-contact with him, worry in your eyes. Why did he have such a serious face? What's going to happen?

"I'm going to need you to walk down this hall without me," he told you, leaving you behind as he quickly sped down the hall. You watched him, the worry in you growing stronger. He left you alone, defenseless! What if a monster decided to attack you?
