When you finally noticed it, you gasped and froze. Laying there, amidst all of the golden flowers, was a small, motionless body of a child. You stared for a moment, before slowly walking over to it and kneeling down. Carefully, you turned them onto their back, noticing that the child wore a green and yellow-striped sweater. You couldn't tell if they were male or female, but you could tell they were killed from a large slash in their chest.

You gently took their bloodied wrist, possibly from trying to stop their cut from bleeding, and tried to feel for a pulse, only to no avail. Sniffing, you dropped the lifeless hand to the ground. They were so young. . .

Looking around, you searched for evidence of whoever killed them. Whoever killed them must have done it before you got there, which appeared to be almost right before your arrived. Who could it have been? It wouldn't have been Papyrus, nor Sans, as he had been following you—almost—the whole time. Is this how Toriel killed humans to get their souls. . ?

Due to the unsettling sight and the silence that surrounded you, a chill ran down your spine and you quickly stood up. Shakily, you began to step back from the body, about to move on, only to hear a crazed giggle pierce the silence. Eyes widening, you quickly turned and fled. Today was not the day to die.

As you continued to run through the judgement hall, you glanced behind you to see a shadow quickly move from sight. Another burst of adrenaline caused you to rush to the elevator and spam the 'Close Door' button.

When the door closed, you sighed a breath of relief. You were happy to get away from whoever was chasing you. Continuing to jog throughout Hotlands after the elevator door opened, you realized no one was there. Creeped out, you sped up as you reached Waterfall, only to find it absent of creatures as well.

When you finally reached Snowdin, you slowed down, strangely finding monsters walking about. Your lungs burned from the constant running, so you paused to catch your breath. A few monsters seemed to have noticed your scared aura, as they gave you questioning glances. Other more worried glances were from seeing your hand covered in blood.

When you caught your breath, you slowly started to walk to Sans and Papyrus' house. A few moments after you knocked on the door, Sans opened it with a bright smile.

"Hello, [Y/n]!" he greeted, only for you to suddenly attack him with a hug. His eyes widened from your sudden movement.

"W-woah, [Y/n], are you okay?" he asked, patting your back. You pulled away from the hug, fear in your eyes, and showed him your bloodied hand. He looked at it and kept his shocked expression.

"N-no! I f-found a body in the castle, a-and when I checked t-their pulse, I-I didn't feel anything!" you quickly chocked out. You closed the door behind you and sniffed a bit, adding, "They were so young, Sans. . .So young. . ."

Before Sans could ask anything more, you headed towards the bathroom to wash off your hands. Watching the blood run off into the sink, you cringed from the memory of the crazy laugh and the body itself. Who was it. . ?

As you came out of the bathroom, you tried to get rid of the memory from your mind. Sans had been waiting for you on the couch, frowning. He hated seeing you like this.

Is she okay? What happened? Sans wondered in his mind, before noticing you come down the stairs. He looked over to you.

You silently walked over and sat next to him, your gaze towards the ground. You didn't want him to worry more than he possibly was already, so you tried to think of any excuses if he asked what happened. Nothing came to mind.

"So. . .what happened, exactly?" Sans questioned, looking towards you. "I-If you'd like to talk about it. . ."

Sighing, you saw that there was no way out of telling the truth. You gazed back towards him with sadness shining in your eyes.

"Well. . .as I was going to see Toriel, I saw. . .a body. . .laying on the ground, as I've told you already," you began. "After I checked their pulse, though, I heard a really crazy laugh. While I was running away, I saw a shadow, like someone was chasing me."

"O-oh. . ." Sans replied simply, not knowing how to reply to all of the information.

"Well. . .You're okay now, right? No one followed you!" Sans tried to reassure, smiling a bit. Besides, if anyone was following you, he'd be sure to get rid of them. Just so you wouldn't worry. . .So you wouldn't be scared.

"Y-you're right, but. . ." you trailed off for a moment. "That was just really. . .nerve-wracking."

Silence fell over the both of you as you and Sans both tried to come up with something else to say. However, neither of you found something to bring up. Besides, Sans thought it was a good idea to just let you calm down instead of asking any further questions.

Instead, Sans quietly scooted over to you and gave you a side-hug. The best he could do at the moment was give you a hug, anyways, which you returned.

For now, you and Sans had to sit in silence, lost in your own thoughts.

This one's a bit shorter than the others because I barely had anything to work with :,D

P.S. The line, "sit in silence" totally wasn't a reference to "Car Radio" by Twenty-Øne Piløts, no no no-
