As you arrived in the Core, seeing shadows stalking you left and right. Sometimes they would try to fight you, but you'd just give them mercy and they'd leave you alone. You eventually came to a room after a while of walking, peeking inside. Seeing a robot standing in the middle of the room, you slowly stepped in. He noticed you and smirked.
"Hello, human~"
"Um. . .h-hi. . ?" you waved slightly, feeling intimidated by the robot.
"Are you thinking of getting past me?" he asked you, and you glanced behind him to see another door. You looked back to him and nodded, only to flinch when you saw two DJ boards fly up next to him. This was a battle you did not want to be in.
"Then prove to me you're strong!" he demanded, shooting some records towards you. You dodged them, begging him to not fight you.
"You really think that's the way out?" he scoffed, "You have to fight me if you want to leave."
Miniature robots started to fly at you as well, which you managed to dodge as well. Records continued to fly at you from all directions. You began to feel tired from dodging. You realized the only way out was to fight, but you didn't want to fight him. He was kind of intimidating but you'd rather be his friend than his enemy.
"Come on, human! Fight me!" he yelled as he shot more records at you.
"No!" you denied quickly. Suddenly, footsteps were heard behind you. You turned to see NiceCream Rabbit. Wait. . .didn't he leave the building?
"Napstaton, stop! Don't fight her!" NiceCream ordered. He stood in front of you protectively, sending a glare towards the other. Napstaton glared back at him.
"If you really want to fight her, you'll have to get through me," the rabbit monster said.
"Alright, alright, fine. I won't fight you," Napstaton sighed angrily. He briskly left the room, the records and mini robots that were once floating in the air falling to the ground and breaking.
You looked to NiceCream and smiled at him, telling him, "Thanks."
He gave you a simple grin in response. You glanced to the other door and thought about continuing on, but decided otherwise. Since you could do more exploring the next day, you chose to head back to Snowdin to see your first friends. Besides, you felt a strange feeling of being watched, though no one was there.
Both of you left the building, the feeling of being followed lingering in your veins. You looked behind you once you left the hotel, but didn't see anyone following. Creeped out slightly, you turned back to the path you were going to head downwards and continued going.

After finally finding your way back to Snowdin, you headed to the skeletons' house. Opening the door, you saw Papyrus laying on the couch. He looked towards you and waved.
"Oh, s'up, [Y/n]?" he greeted. You nodded to him.
"Hey, I'm doing fine," you replied. You looked around, not seeing Sans anywhere, so you decided to ask.
"Where's Sans?" you questioned.
"I dunno. He left a while ago, but I'm not sure where—" Papyrus was interrupted by Sans coming through the door.
"I'm home, Papyrus! I just got back from—oh, hello, [Y/n]!" Sans turned to you with a smile. You smiled back, noticing the light blush that appeared on his cheekbones. Odd.
