Chapter 15

Disclaimer: Hey everyone I'm finally back. Again I'm so so so very sorry for not updating recently. I'll try and make up for it I promise.
Note: I going to go ahead and say this to clear up any confusion later. I know in the show (Young Justice) that Conner can't fly, but in my story he can okay.

Chapter 15
(Third P.O.V.) Wayne Garden

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The sun was shining, and the sky was dotted with big white clouds. Even though it was the end of July, it wasn't as hot as it could of been. It was the perfect day to go exploring the huge garden outside Wayne Manor, and that was exactly what Emma was doing at the moment.
As she walked deeper and deeper into the garden, Emma couldn't help but admire all that she saw. She saw hedges in either the shapes of circles, squares, and triangles. Some even were cut to look like animals like giraffes, elephants, or she even saw one in the shape of a t-rex. There were also bushes full of flowers of all colors and some even some edible berries like blackberries or blueberries. The garden even had a few fruit barring trees like apples. Emma had actually brought a basket and a things of rope just incase she wanted to pick some later.
Emma was making her way towards what looked like a large maize made of hedges. To tell you the truth though, her mind was some where else at the moment.

(Emma's P.O.V.)
This place is so beautiful, but even it can't distract my mind for very long. There were so many things to think and worry about, like having to start on Wednesday. Any other person would be a little excited about starting at whole new school with all new people, but the though just makes my insides churn just thinking about it. I definitely have a reason for being worried too.
Back when I stilled lived with my relatives, and I went to school with Dudley. He was a bully and you can guess who his main victim was. He would always bully any kid dared to try and be my friend. So I was pretty much an outcast. He would get a couple of his friends and they would play a game they called 'Emma Hunting.' If they caught me, then I would end up withe more bruises. The only only I was able to have any peace at all was during break time. Instead of going outside, I would spend my time in the library.
To make things even worse most of the teachers didn't like me very much because they believed the lies my relatives told them. How I was some kind of trouble maker, delinquent, and liar. That was just at my old school, what if this new one is the same or even worse than that one.
I'm just pray that everything goes smoothly, and hopefully I'll make at least one friend. I sighed before blinking. Huh, I'd somehow made my way to the middle of the maize. There was an old stone bench sittinhmg beside a large apple tree. As I looked at the tree an idea hit me. I tied the long piece of rope that I brought and tied it on top of the strap of my basket. Fixing the basket on top of my shoulder I began to climb the apple tree. I began to pick some of the apples and set them inside of the basket until it was half way full. I then used the rope to lower the basket back sown to the ground.
I was just about to make my way down as well when...
"Hey! Do you need any help." A voice said from behind me.
It scared me so bad that I lost my grip, and began to fall. I closed my tight brasing myself for the pain that was sure to come. Then I felt something grab me by the waist, stopping my fall. I opened my eyes to see what saved me. It was a boy the oddly looked just like Superman, but he looked to be about my age. I looked down and noticed that we were floating too.
"Nice catch Conner!" A Dick's voice yelled out.
"Ummm...thank-you for saving me." I said shyly.
"It was no problem. It was my fault for scaring you. Sorry about that." He said sheepishly.
"Umm..Conner right?" I asked.
"Yes, that's my name." He said.
"Could you maybe put me down now? My name's Emily, but I prefer to be called Emma if you don't mind." I said.
He blushed a light pink before quickly sitting me back down on the ground. Dick ran up to us and began look me over worried.
"Are you okay Emma? What were you thinking climbing that tree?" Dick asked.
"I just wanted to pick some apples." I said.
"Well next time try be more careful okay. I don't want to lose you or see you get seriously hurt okay." Dick scolded before picking up my basket. "Now come on Emma there's a surprise back at the house for you!"
"Okay, Dick we're coming." Conner said.
"What's the surprise for any way?" I asked.
Dick looked at me in disbelief. I just looked at him confused. He just shook his head.
"You'll see when we get inside." He said before leading the way out of the maize and back to the house.
