Moisture, wind and Autumn breeze,
Shuddering bodies huddled beneath.

Blankets protecting from the cold,
the danger, the rain and the world.

Fire flickering in hues of sunset and maple leaves,
As her fears vanished like twigs upon a flame.

Warm, melodic-scented coffee engulfing all,
Letting little be savored from it's firm grip.

There she sat in a dark corner of dwelling,
Not hers, she admitted dismally each time.

Flickers onto twigs of hope and misery,
Emotionless garden of an escape it had become.

So she stayed each Sunday in that little spot,
Doing little more than mindless thinking.

Sweetness lacing her senses from all corners,
Drifting off came rather contentedly and prompt.

An eternal peaceful realm of loneliness and light,
She swayed back and forth, chin and head.

Why worry about a world,
That threw you away on a whim?
