Special Agent Aliyah David

ch. 5

Tony's P.O.V

I was sitting on the couch eating popcorn and watching James Bond starring Sean Connery when i was taken from my movie to the sound of my phone ringing. I looked down at  the caller id to see that Ziva was calling. 

"Yes my little israeli ninja?"

"Tony, Aliyah was shot. Just come to Bethesda and then ill explain everything."

"Okay, i'll be there in 15."

I turn off the tv, grab my keys and run out the door. I make it to Bethesda in record time and Gibbs has to explain everything to me because Ziva is crying and being comforted by Connor. Good kid, i always liked him. Anyways after Gibbs is done explaining the bomb threat and the shoot out in Cyber Crimes he decided he needed coffee. I went over to Ziva and let Connor know that i could handle it from here and to go home and get rest. I would call him as soon as i knew how Aliyah was. Vance said that he would see Connor bright and early on monday. He was going to start in Cyber Crimes for the FBI while we waited for the Navy yard to be repaired. Everyone else stayed and after two hours a doctor from Emergency came out in his scrubs.

"Are you the family of Aliyah?"

"Yeah. I'm Tony and this is my wife Ziva. How's our daughter?"

"She is very lucky. The bullet had just missed the Aorta. She will have to be in the hospital for a couple of days and will be out of work for about a month. She is still asleep due to medication and is being brought to her room now. For now i suggest that only the parents visit. Now i know it wont stay that way but please try at first. She cant any stress, she needs to recover without problems if you can."

"Okay well thank you doctor. We are very happy that you were able to save her."

"She will be on heavy medication. Right now we have her in a medically induced coma. She should wake up soon."

Meanwhile....

Aliyahs P.O.V

I open my eyes and i dont know where I am. I start walking and realize that im walking on a beach. I have to wonder if I'm dead. I see a woman down the beach so i start to walk towards her. Then when i get to her i ask where i am. 

"Excuse me miss, where am I?"

"Your between worlds. My name is Kate. I used to work with your dad and the rest of the MCRT team. I was shot a couple years ago by a terrorist."

"Oh so am I like dead? I'm kind of confused about whats going on. All i know for sure is that I was shot by the same man who tried to kill my father a couple months ago."

"Sweetie, I know someone tried to kill your father a couple months ago. He visited me also when he was in surgery. Why dont we take a walk. I have a couple people for you to meet."

"Okay I mean I guess im not needed at the moment."

I walked down the beach with Kate for awhile. She told me about herself and about her family. She had had a son before she died . Her son lives with her sister Rachel who lives in D.C. I told her about myself and how I work at NCIS already. I give her another update about what has been happening at the Navy Yard and soon she's introducing me to these other people i've never seen before but im guessing the've all worked for NCIS.

"Hi Aliyah, I'm Jenny Shepard and this is Paula Cassidy. We both worked with the team."

"It's nice to meet you Jenny. Are you all here to help?"

"Yes, we have all been in your situation. Here's our advice. Be careful. Normally a girl your age shouldn't have this job. Your doing great and we are here to watch over you. We will visit from time to time to make sure you are okay. Now why dont you go back to earth and be with your family. They are desperatly waiting for you to wake up. They are worried and cannot live without you Ali. We will protect you and Good Luck. 

"Okay. I guess I can do that. Its not my time yet."

"I'll walk with her for a minute and send her back Jen."

"Okay."

I walk with Kate again for a little bit. Then we talk for a couple more minutes before I go.

"Promise to check on me?"

"Of course Aliyah. I want to. By the way...my son is your best friend please take good care of him dont let him get killed in Cyber Crimes please.

Oh my gosh, your Connor's mom. I will take great care of him."

"You already take great care of Connor just keep it up. Oh and please tell Tony hi for me."

"Okay. Bye Kate."

I hug her and then i start to walk to where i woke up. I go back to the darkness. I'm awake but my eyes feel really heavy. I slowly open my eyes to find that Ima is asleep. Aba is just walking into he room. He walks over and asks me how i'm feeling.

"I've been better Aba. Oh and i was told to tell you hello."

"From who Ali?"

"A woman named Kate. She said you guys worked together and that you were really good friends."

"How do even know about Kate?"

" I met her while i was asleep Aba."

"Oh well she was like family to me and she was also an amazing agent. Now why dont you go to sleep. You've got a long road okay?"

"Okay. Goodnight Aba."

"Night Ali."
