It had been five days exactly. Five days since his mom died. Five days since her presence died. He remember her death so vividly, it had burned a spot in the back of his head. Kellin could remember the tramatizing moment second for second.

Him and his mother were halted at a red light, they patiently wait and when the light flickered green his mom obeyed and pressed the gas pedal. Out of the corner of Kellins eye he could see a driver sped through the red light.

"Mom!?" He screamed in warning, as the car bolted forward. Kellins mom swerved the car, trying to move from the target. His ears rung, his eyes went black as the impact came. It was quick but to Kellin it felt like hours, days.

He looked over to find his mom, she looked as though she was one of the dummys you would get to scare the living daylight out of childern on Hallows eve. Blood trickled from her head and glass scattered the dash board like unwanted toys. "Mom....M-mom!" The vulnerable boy wailed shakingly his lifeless mothers shoulders. On impact, the steering wheel has rammed into her chest shattering her ribs, like China hitting the floor, her lungs were damaged, punctured to be exact, making air hard to take in. He shook her shoulder and wailed as he reached over, slowly closing her eye lids. He saw the bright lights and the screams of the sirens as they came faster than light. They fire department pulled Kellin out, since his injuries were minor, unlike his mom's, and the boy watched horrified as his mom was taken inside the ambulance, awaiting her destiny. The man who had brought this fate upon them paced back and forth, his hands on his head. Kellin stood slowly, from his stop on the ground. He began to walked and felt a undesirable pain wash over him and he walked further, he limbed at each he step he took and once he came close enough he stopped in his tracks and looked the man.

"I'm so sorry." The man mumbled with the burning fire of fear in his eyes. Kellin did not reply but balled his fist before landing his knuckles on the guys cheek.

The guy fell backward and Kellin pounced on him like a tiger, pounding his fist where ever he could.

"This is all your fault! She's dead and its all you fault!" Kellin screamed before he was pulled off the male. The police whispered that it would be okay as he cried, kicking and screaming like a child who's parents pulled him out of a amusement park.

Five days later and the boy sat at his mother funeral. The wave of black color filled the church, his mothers lifeless body laid in the coffin. Kellin's ears were hypnotized by the crying people all around. The boy and his siblings sat next to him and his dad after them. They were all crying but Kellin promised himself to he strong, for everyone, even though the only thought on his mind was dying.

The pastors voice boomed throughout the room, his voice rumbled like a car. Kellin's eyes faultered in sadness when the pastor said that everyone should be happy since Kellin still had his life.

The scene of his mothers death replayed in his head. The people in the back headed forwards and dropped small items in the coffin. Some had pictures or flowers, things that made them think Mary. When it was their turn the family got up, his sisters placing their eyes and kissing the corspes head. When it was Kellin's turn the color drain out of his face. His eyes darkened and as if the boy was a zombie standing over his mothers coffin. The lady laying inside was ghostly white and her eyed lids closed. Her veins were darker around her body since her blood was loosing its purpose: exactly how Kellin felt. His mother looked at though she had seen a ghost. Kellin gently brushed the dark cut on her silky cheek before placing a picture in there, one of him as a small lad smiling ear to ear as he had a ice cream shoved in his mother's face as she laughed gleefully. Kellin felt the warm tears run down his face, like rain on a car window. Lastly he placed his promise, everything he promise to do. The words he had written last on the list that wasn't crossed of like the rest was: Keep my mom safe.

The boy turned to face a sea of saddened people. His hazel eyes danced around the people faces before he turned around and closed the coffin. It was like the cries of his mom could be heard through the black box and Kellin's head dropped and he began to sob, dropping his crutches since he had indeed broke his foot, and fell to his knees in front of the crowd. This was the most vulnerable time in his life. But he was beyond pissed with himself

His sister Harper bent down in front of him and gently kissed his head. "Hey, cmon its okay."

Kellin looked up and hugged her tightly, his eyes were red and swollen. He looked like a dog who had been abandoned, and lost. Harper smelled like Mary, roses and cookies. The sweet fragrance that filled his nose caused him to began to cry harder. He was pulled up by his sister and back into his seat.

When the ceremony ended he sat in the empty church, aimlessly staring at the coffin hoping that his mother would crawl out and summon all his pain away. His black hair sat gelled back underneath his wide brimmed black hat that sat snuggly on his head as he stared, tears danced down his cheek.

The room was silent, besides the rain that hit the roof as if the angels were crying.

Kellin was dying inside, everything hurt and he felt like he should join his mother. His mind drifted hack to the memories until his daze was broken but a strong grip on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry 'bout your mom." The voice muttered and Kellin turned his head. Time had stopped, his heart had stopped and air seemed to reject going to his lungs.

"Victor Fuentes..." Kellin mutter breathlessly
