After the two had a drink and chatted for a bit, the pair decided to walk to Kellins house.
The grips on Kellins crutches weren't as good as the shoes on Vic's feet. At each step he wobbled and finally Vic walked by his side, grabbing the bar of his crutches because he was terrified of the boy falling and breaking something else.
They walked to his house and Hudson seemed to fly to the door like a dog who hadn't seen his owners in years.
"Vic! Kellin!" The boy said cheerfully and Kellin smiled weakly before walking inside, the rubber of his crutches squeezing on the ground.
"Cmon in Vic." Hudson smiled and Vic chuckled before waving Hudson off.
"I'll get out of your hair." Vic insisted and Kellin frowned hearing his friend before stopping halfway up the stairs, turning to look at Hudson who saw the sad look in his brothers eyes, before Kellin carried himself up the stairs the rest of the way.
Hudson bit his lip before walking to Vic. His eyes full of worry. "Dude, please don't go. I don't know what he's gonna do without someone occupying him. I don't want Kellin to stop...living." Hudson whispered before gently patting Vic's shoulder. "Please."
Vic rolled his lip in between his teeth before walking inside. He walked up the stairs and into Kellin room standing by the entertance, leaning against the wall to the white room. His big black sheeted bed sat in the middle of his room, the white and black pattern throw pillows sat neatly arranged and on the wall in front of the bed was a t.v. and a game station. His closet was in the wall and his clothes hid there. And there was Kellin grabbing his clothes before turning around.
"Vic." He smiled his eyes brightening a bit as if a flower had seen the sun when it needed to bloom.
Vic smiled before looking at the boy. His black hair stuck to his forehead. His tux was skin tight due to the rain and he wobbled forward.
"I'll be back." The boy nodded. "Make yourself at home."
Vic furrowed his brow before pointing inside his room, "just change in here?"
Kellin shook his head before heading to the bathroom.
After a few minutes, boy came out in sweat pants and a tealish blue veck. His neon green cast could be seen from where his pants cut off at his ankle. he scurried to his bed, flopping next to Vic like a exhausted child who had just came back from school.
"Why didn't you change in here? Dude I'm Gay, I sure in hell wouldn't have minded." Vic asked cockily, yet he was bit curious as he laid with his elbow in his head, propped up whereas Kellin just laid with his head in his hands.
"I promise myself, after the day when our friendship ended, and what you said, I promised myself not to change in front of one boy ever again. I've kept my promise and its not gonna die today." Kellin muttered before sighing deeply.
Vic frowned and his heart ached with a undeniable pain. He nodded before gently squeezing Kellins shoulder. "I'm sorry about that." Vic whispered and Kellin rolled over facing him.
"Don't sweat it...wanna play some video games?"
Vic smirked as a fire of danger sparked in his eyes. "Oh hell ya."
After hours of playing Call of Duty without no end, Kellin ended up falling asleep. Vic was anything beyond asleep, the boy was like a golden retriever, he could have kept going and going all night long.
"Oh yes I b-" Vic shouted after yet another round ended before silencing himself and looking over to see Kellin asleep.
He smiled a bit before laying next to the boy trying his hardest not to wake him. And in a few short moments Vic was fast asleep as well.
Somewhere in the middle of the night, around three in the morning, Kellin began to toss and turn, having a nightmare. His dreams drifited off to his mom and the boy whimpered like a injured puppy, grabbing the pillow tightly.
Vic woke when he heard Kellin start to mumble "No...No." His eyes widened as he tried waking him but he couldn't. He began to worry as Kellin began to scratch at his arm, like a dog with lice, his nails rakimg against his fragile skin. His mind came to the only idea left and he yanked Kellin into his arms. The boy seemed to calm down almost immediately, his head and hands rest on Vic's chest, Vic's arms on the small of his back as he look at the boy peacefully.
Kellin was really just a small toddler, worried, scared and lost in the world without his mom. Vic gently kissed Kellins head before releasing his tight grip a bit. For some reason a lot of unknown feelings came in bloom that day. Something Vic had never felt before. The glorious thoughts of Kellin smile that sat on his soft, pink pulsh lips. A smile that seemed to light up any room and the way he giggled whenever Vic lost and cursed wicked words at the T.V just made his heartstrings play like a harp. The way their heartbeats seemed to be in sync made his brain tingle. His skin crawled in happiness at the little bit of contact that was happening between them. He knew he felt something whenever Kellin left his sight, a feeling where it felt like he had been pushed away from a family and was living on his own. Was this what Kellin had felt in fifth grade? This willingness to be next to his hopeful lover all the time? Vic sighed a bit before laying Kellin back in his spot but suddenly the feeling came, the empty feeling, his skin begged for contact, and he felt guilty for having put himself through something so stupid, snatching the boy in his arms as if he was a princess and this was his last chance to win him over...wait was it? Was what Vic was feeling...was it love?
"My Kellin." Vic said stingily like a little baby who had got a new toy. "Wait...that's what Kellic means. The names in school. Kellic, me and Kellin." Vic figured out before smirking darkly. "How could I have let this go out of my sight? Kellin was meant to be mine. Kellin is mine."
