Dawn Of Light [discontinued]

Chapter 3

"Hello, Casey, Grace. Have a seat." She motioned towards some beanbag chairs.

I had not expected Headmaster Dakota to look so... young! She looked around the same age as us, like a high school student. She had long brown pigtails and emerald green eyes.

"Now, you're probably pretty confused about what's going on, right?"

We nodded.

"Well Athena, my... servant, she uh noticed something different about you two."

"Different how?" I asked.

"Well, you see you're like me. You two are not... human?"

"What do you mean not human?!" Casey asked a little panicked.

"It's nothing to worry about! I just mean.. uh.. um.." Dakota said starting to twiddle her thumbs.

"You're immortals.." Dakota said regaining her posture.

"Immortals?" I questioned.

"Like we can't die immortals?" Casey asked.

"Exactly, you can't die!" Dakota said with a smile but it slowly faded when she saw the horrified look we both had.

"Look its not all that bad.. I mean hey you guys have powers" She continued trying to calm us a little.

"Powers?" I asked

"What if we can't control them? What would happen if people found out?" Casey was not horrified anymore but was more concerned.

"That's why I had Athena fetch you two. So we can start training and we can keep your powers under control." Dakota replied trying to calm us.

"Listen I know this is a lot to take in. I was terrified when I learned about this myself. But you guys are lucky, you have people who can help you learn unlike I did." Dakota tried reassuring us again.

"What do you mean "unlike you did"?" I questioned.

"I was the first immortal known by the angel society" Dakota answered calmly.

"Angel society?" Casey asked.

"You'll learn about the angel society later on im your classes" She replied

There was a knock at the door.

"Pardon me Ms. Woods, but Mrs. Smith is getting worried about Ms. Smith and Ms. Lancaster" Athena had said poking her head in.

"I would love to talk more but it seems I must send you two home..." Dakota said to us

Athena escorted us out of the building which was a normal looking building, I recognized this building, we passed it everyday. This building was just down the road from our home.

"I'm assuming you know the way home from here, yes?" Athena asked.

"Yeah...." We both responded.

We started heading home in silence and did not say anything when we got inside. It was late so we decided to go to bed and try to possibly get some sleep....

A/N: Ahhh I'm so sorry I haven't updated in so long!! I haven't been on very much and I actually started falling out of being on here but I'm back and I'm going to try to update at least once a month or even every two weeks. I hope you enjoyed this part!
