You woke up early that morning greeted by the sound of classic rock singing from your alarm clock. You turn over quickly and turned the alarm off before springing out of bed and grabbing clean clothes to take to the bathroom. After disrobing you start the shower allowing the water heat up. After a nice long warm shower you get dressed and made your way into the bunker's kitchen.
"Hey boys! You guys here?" You yelled loud enough for them to hear you. After a few minutes of no response you just assumed that there were out on the hunt. A small tinge of disappointment ate at you slowly. 'They could have at least wished me a happy birthday.' You though as you grabbed two pre-made pancakes and heated them up. After the pancakes were heated up your phone started to ring.
"Hello?" You answered the phone not even looking at the called ID.
"Hey (y/n) what are you doing right now?" The gruff voice asked through the phone.
"I'm about to eat pancakes. Why do you ask Dean?"
"Well eat them quick I'll be there in five minutes." After that Dean hung up the phone leaving you curious as to why you weren't informed about anything. The pancakes were gone in a matter of minutes before the door to the bunker was thrown open.
"Come on (y/n)!" Dean yelled impatiently.
"I'm coming. I'm coming." You shouted back.
"I bet you are princess." Dean grinned. You only gave a small groan in response and made your way to the impala. The first thing you notice is that Sam wasn't in the car. Your (e/c) eyes looked at Dean full of worry.
"Where's Sam?" You quickly asked looking at Dean as he shuffled into 'Baby'.
"He'll meet with us soon don't worry in the mean time here." He handed me a small envelop then turned the engine on. You take the envelop and opened it to see a neatly folded not inside that reads:
Hey (y/n) your probably wondering why you were given this letter well it's because we thought it would be nice to have you go hunt for your birthday gift. So you will be going on a small scavenger hunt. Here is your first clue. I hold a stream and the beauty of the world all in one place. Its the first place we laid eyes on you and now I contain a small pendant that only heaven can provide. Good luck (y/n).
"Hmmm, can you take me to the local park?" You asked.
"Well that's why I'm here." Dean mumbled something about being a chauffeur. The ride was short but excited you none of the less. After arriving at the park Dean reached behind him and grabbed a small black backpack handing it to you.
"What's this for?" You looked at the bag questioningly.
"It's has some stuff you will need to complete the scavenger hunt and to place items in. I also put some other stuff in for safety measures." Dean shrugged as if this was a normal situation. You gave Dean a small hug before placing the bag on your back and started walking to the stream where you first met the boys about a year ago. To your surprise the park was pretty empty that day. You kept walking until you spotted the small stream and came to a stop beside two giant trees that seemed to form a 'U' shape. You took this time to see what exactly was in your bag. Inside the bag was rope, a lighter, glasses that were run through holy fire, and a pistol. There was also an angel blade and a med kit but they were labeled for emergencies only. You zipped up the backpack and started to search the area around the trees for a small pendant that only heaven could provide. After a few minutes of no success you decide to step back and think on it for a moment. 'Hmm, a small pendant only heaven could provide. Well unless they mean from heaven itself it has to deal with an angel. The only angel I can think of right now is Cas.' The thought crosses your mind and not a moment later you notice Castiel was standing near a bee hive.
"Cas." You yelled to the familiar angel as you made your way to him. He looked in your direction before focusing on the bees once more.
"Hello (y/n). I believe your here for the pendant, correct?" Castiel's voice seemed distant as if he was in a trance.
"Yep. So can I have it?" You looked at Cas as he put his hand into his trench coat pocket pulling out another envelop but this time you can see something resting inside. You took the envelop and opened it carefully afraid of losing the item inside. Inside the envelop rested a necklace with a heart locket and the next clue. You pull the necklace out and opened the locket to see a picture of you and Sam on your first date at a local fair a year ago. The picture was of you and Sam hugging each other not even paying attention to the world around you. On the other side of the locket had a inscription that said:
Your the light when my world is enshrouded in darkness.
"(Y/n) can I see that for a moment?" Cas asked as he held his hand out. You nodded handing him the necklace with the biggest grin on your face. He took the necklace and placed it around your neck gently then gives you a small hug. You hug him back then pull away to read the clue.
