It's was chemistry. Twilight sparkle was assigned to flash sentry as a lab partner! Just like all her classic adventure books. Her heart pounded In her chest. Her breath was soft. He smiled at her. After they got started into the experiment, flash began to blush. Twilight blushed in return. She was probably a tomato! She tried not to show any sign of feeling.
"So um twilight... I was wondering. If you would maybe come to the dance with me?" Flash said in a shy tone.
"You want to go to the dance with me? But what about trixie?" Twilight sputtered.
"She is a loudmouth. So?" Flash asked hopefully.
"Yes!" She squealed happily as she threw her arms around flash.
"Miss Sparkle I know science is amazing but please, focus on the lesson." The teacher said sternly.
"Sorry ma'am... I" Twilight stammered in embarrassment.
"Oh come on Mr. Cranky! She just wants a bit of smile! You need to laugh!" Pinkie said.
"Then you will write a report! About laughing." He spat. "Due tomorrow to the class."

Later after afternoon classes, Pinkie was stumped. Twilight was trying to help. It was an assignment in chemistry. Where pinkie had gotten into trouble!
"Well thanks for defending me. I owe you." Twilight said laying on her bed cuddling spike.
"Well I'm gonna get him to laugh! Even if it kills me! And you got flash for the dance tomorrow night!" Pinkie blabbered.
She worked and worked. Almost all night. She was determined.
The next day, she couldn't wait for chemistry. As well as the dance. At breakfast everyone was gossiping about who was going with who. Of course Twilight was going with flash.
"So awesome!" Rainbow said.
"We will look stunning!" Rarity squealed.
"Hey guys! I got our application back and we are approved!" Applejack walked up to the table with an envelope.
"What application..." Twilight began.
"We are in a band!" Pinkie squealed.
"And I never knew, why?" Twilight said confused.
"We don't usually practice. We are magic and know what to do. So were playing at the dance!" Rainbow said.
"Yeah and you are the newest lead singer!" Rarity said.
"Me? But do I..." Twilight began.
"You will know the song when the time comes, just believe!" Fluttershy said.
Later in chemistry...
"Alright Pinkie your project..." Said Mr. Cranky annoyed.

"Alright!" Pinkie squealed. She nodded towards twilight who pressed a button on a small pink speaker. Music blasted out as pinkie began to sing.

They were smiling and laughing. Pinkie went over to mr. cranky.
"So did you like it?" She asked.
"No. I did not like it... I love it!" A smile broke out on his face causing pinkie to sparkle with happiness.
The bell rang symboling the end of the day. Out in the hall, Twilight's necklace glowed. She held it as it released a sparkle towards pinkie's necklace. A charm appeared on the chain, shaped like a streamer.
The girls hugged each other laughing.
