The Twins

It's the middle of the night and I can't seem to fall asleep. This sucks because I knew that I will regret it when I wake up, I have to meet Queen Olivia after all.

I hear a big thud, coming from outside my door. I turn on the lights, lay up and just stare at my door. I then hear scratching, I assume that it is Garih, so I asked, "Garih what are doing?" I hear nothing so I ask again but this time more nervous. But silence is all I get. I decide to get up and do some investigating. I slowly walk to the door while ignoring my conscience that's saying: Bitch! Jump out the window, scream, play dead, call a priest! Just, for the love of God, Don't open the Door!

I reach the door and call out to Garih, "Hey Garih.... is that y-you?" I stutter, but still, I hear nothing. Then, I hear a casual knock on my door and I flinch. I wonder if I should open it.... Are you crazy! Have you not seen any scary movies before!?! I think to myself. I hesitantly turn the door knob, I slowly creek the door open, regretting what I did. But there was no turning back now.

When I peep my head out I see...... nothing but pitch black. I found myself staring in the face of darkness for a while until I close the door. I turn around and the lights go out. I get freaked out and flee to my bed. I lay there for a while until I feel a presence as if someone was there. I felt like I could feel someone breathing on me, in fact like two people were. I hide in my covers and yelp, "Christian, Garih I need you."

"No need Jada," I hear a low voice say, sounding like it was right by me. "You have us." I then see a purple light in front of me and there stood a boy and a girl staring at me.

I examine them, they look identical, the girl had long black hair, red eyes, and was wearing all black. She was wearing heavy black makeup that reminded me of the goth people at my school. I then looked to the boy and he had short black hair, red eyes and was wearing all black too. The only difference was that he had no makeup on.

"She is more uglier than I imagined, brother." The girl said.

"I agree, sister. But it doesn't matter she will die soon anyway." The guy says. I suddenly feel my stomach drop and I feel like I'm looking at the Devil's children. Oh crap! Oh crap! I should have listened to my conscience.

"Well, sister, shall we take her now?" He looks to me.

"I don't know, brother, maybe we can play with her first." These creeps want to play with me what the heck!?!

"That's not very nice, calling us creeps." The boy says looking at me. Wait did he just read my mind?

"Why, yes, yes I did." He states. Great where's Christian and Garih when I need them the most.

"Oh, Christian and Garih should be the least of your worries now." The girl says and the both take a step towards me.

"Wait!" I yell, putting me hands up for defense, "Before you kill me, can you at least tell who you are?" I say.

"Not that it's any of your business, but we are the Rancidus5 twins." The boy answers.

"And, why would we kill you?" The girl asks. I give them a confused look. But didn't they say I will die.

"Oh of course we did, don't you humans have short life capacity?"

"Well I wouldn't say short, but yeah we live like up to 80 years old average maybe." I get lost in my thoughts.

"Exactly that's way to short to enjoy life." The girl says.

"Anyway, I am called Arcanum." The boy says.

"And I am called Pravum." The girl says.

"We are hear to bring you to Queen Olivia." They say in unison.

"What is going on?" I hear a familiar voices ask, it was Garih and behind him was Christian. "Arcanum! Pravum! What are you two doing here?" Christian asks.

"We came to deliver Jada to the Queen." Arcanum states.

"Why now? It's super dark?" Christian asks.

"Because the earlier the better, you know how to Queen Olivia is a impatient one." Pravum defends.

"Look this can obviously wait until sun rise." Garih points out.

"No can do, we must get Jada now." Arcanum says sharply.

"We still are her protectors, and we say no." Christian says in an angry tone.

"Christian know your place, you wouldn't want us to show our real form would you?" Pravum says with an evil smile.

"There is no need to fight we are all trying to do the right thing." Garih intrudes between the two, "Besides, they are just following orders right?" The twins look at each other.

"We can not lie, we have not been assigned to do this." Pravum says with her head down.

"Wait. Why are you hear then?" I ask.

"We only want to prove our selves to Rajia."

"What!?!" Christian yelled, "Are you kidding me! You guys were the ones who killed Draco!"

"Yes indeed, but we still need to show Queen Olivia that we can fight." Arcanum said.

"Now, if you excuse us, we have to bring Jada to Rajia." Pravum finished.

"Look it's way too early to do anything thing. Why don't we just wait for the sun." I say with a smile.

"No, we must take you now!" Arcanum said angrily. Then, I noticed his eyes, they were now all black and so were his sister's.

"We don't need to fight-" Garih tries to say.

"If we must we will." The twins say in unison. Ok now I'm scared. They then look at me with widened eyes but still no expression. They tilt there head to me, while I sat there hoping that they wouldn't kill me.

"You are quite a weird one, Jada." Arcanum said.

"Then it's settled. We will wait until sun rise, but we will accompany Jada to the Queen." Pravum says.

"What!? That easily?" Christian said shocked.

"Yes." Arcanum said bluntly. Christian stares at them for a little while. Then he put his hands up.

"You know what, I don't care." He walks out the room.

I decide not to go back to sleep, mainly because Pravum and Arcanum staid in my room. I found myself getting nervous, thinking about what Queen Olivia will be like.
