We walk for a few hours, until my stomach growls and I realize that I didn't eat breakfast! I turn to Garih and ask, "Hey, Garih can we stop by somewhere to eat? I didn't eat breakfast." . Both Garih and Christian turn around to look at me.
"You'll be fine, toughen up a little Jada, not having breakfast isn't that bad." Christian says, calmly. Yeah? well try walking for three hours and not eating breakfast you jerk!
"No Christian, if Jada wants something to eat we shall stop by a tavern to eat." Garih states.
"Whatever" Christian rolls his eyes, "I know a place to eat only like two miles from here."
"Perfect." I say with a smile.
We head to a bar like a bar you would see in a mortal world. I look confused and ask. "So this world has regular stuff here like Earth."
"Well yes we used the human's idea of a bar, but that's pretty much it." Garih answers. I nod and move on.
We get to the door of the bar and Christian stops me to say, "Jada I have to tell you something, some of these men in here are really intense. If you don't think you can handle it we can always just go somewhere else." I shake my head.
"Oh please, I'll be fine I have Garih to protect me." I say with a smile. Christian then looks at Garih, and Garih gives him an evil smirk.
I open the door and instantly see men like manly men no women at all, except for the bar tender she was a women, sexist. Nobody pays any attention to me so I calmly walk to a seat by the bar. The bar tender comes up to us and asks, "What will it be-, Hold on, Christian and Garih is that you guys?" She laughs and gets everyone's attention, Great. A huge man comes up to Christian and puts his hand on his shoulder.
"Hey Christian remember me?" He asks. Christian stays quite. "Yeah? You still owe me my 3 bars of gold." The man then looks at me and says. "Ok, how about this, you give me your girl for a night and I'll-" Christian suddenly punches him in the throat and the man falls to the ground. The man gets up and says, "Fine we'll do this the hard way." Five more men get up and stand behind him for support. Christian stands up and looks at me then Garih, I see Garih nod and escorts me out.
"Wait, what's going to happen to Christian?" I ask right once I exit the door.
"He is just going to care of some debts that he owes." Garih answers. So that's why he was hesitant to go in this bar. I hear crashing and men yelling, "Get him!" But then silence, I see the door open and Christian calmly walks out. I look inside and my jaw drops. The men were groaning in pain and had bruises everywhere.
"W-what?" I stutter.
"What's wrong?" He says, intimidating me, "Are you afraid-"
"That is Amazing, oh man! You gotta teach me how you did this." Christian looks at me and so does Garih.
"What?" I ask.
"You definitely are your grandparent's granddaughter." Garih laughs.
"Ok I'll teach you how I did that, after we meet Queen Olivia." Christian says, I nod and we move on.
"Wait! I didn't get to eat anything." I say.
"Maybe the next bar won't have thugs that Christian owes money to." Garih says.
"I doubt it." Christian replies and we continue to walk.
We do get to another bar thank goodness no man has told Christian he owes him money. I look at the menu and realizes, I have no idea what these foods are. I turn towards Garih and he orders for me.
We leave the bar, and Christian hands me a silver sword.
"What's this for?" I ask.
"You must learn how to protect yourself. Use the sword just to intimidate robbers or threats just for now. Once we get to a blacksmith, you can chose your weapon." He says.
We walk in a forest and decide to take a break. I went to the river to get some water, I bent down to get some water, when I heard mumbling noises behind me. I slowly walk to where I hear the noise but I don't see anything.
"Hey miss, can you get off my roots?" I hear and turn to the tree right by me. I stand there in confusion looking around, "Yeah you, girl, get off my roots." I look up at the tree and see a face glaring down at me. I immediately move my foot from the root.
"Thank you." It says rudely.
"Y-you're a t-talking tree." I stutter.
"Yeah and you're a girl, also the sky is blue."
"Sorry, I've never seen a talking tree before." I apologize quietly.
"Yeah it's ok, many people don't know what to say when they first see me." It says.
"Um. My names Jada." I say shyly.
"I'm Bratus."
"So are you like a guy or girl or like an it?" I say awkwardly.
"I'm identified as male."
"Jada! Where are you." I hear Garih yell.
"Garih I'm over here." I spot him and wave him over.
"Garih!" Bratus exclaims, "You don't mean Garih of the Aelurus clan do you?!?" I nod my head.
"Oh crap! Don't tell him I'm here."
"Why?" I ask.
"It's a Very long story." He answers, and with that his face disappears.
Garih comes over here and says, "You really should not run off like that Jada, a stranger could have snatched you away."
"Sorry." I apologize. Garih sniffs the air and pauses.
"Bratus is that you?" He asks angrily. Bratus doesn't answer.
"I know it's you! Show your face coward." Garih yells. Bratus' face reappears and he gives Garih a weak smile.
"Well, if it isn't Bratus of the Ligna clan, the Great protector of the forest."
