I followed Fay until we stopped at a large group of people crowded in a little area. I tried to look past all of the people standing in front of me, But I couldn't see any thing. Then the line started to move, and then I could see that people were going out doors. I was confused, did they let the children out, thinking that they would know better than to leave?

"They let us outside?" I asked Fay, knowing that she would probably know the answer to all of my questions.

"Yeah," she replied. "But don't get your hopes up, they have that place surrounded." My face went from a tiny smile, to a disappointed frown. "It feels like your just a meaningless bird in a cage." Fay said with some sort of a sad chuckle in her voice. "Oh, and by the way..." She continued. "...If you try and escape, you'll be executed.

I just looked at her with a frightened face and said "Oh." And then we reached the doors.

I walked out of the doors with Fay as we both passed two guards that were holding the wooden doors open. We walked out to see some what of stations spread out all around. Fay then pointed to a guard and told me to go and ask him where to go. When I did he pointed to a place where I saw people throwing and stabbing tridents into life sized foam dummies.

I walked over there and saw Amick, the red haired boy, holding a trident. He was swinging it around like it was a stick, like he knew that he wouldn't hurt himself, like he knew what he was doing, and he probably did.

I had absolutely no idea of what to do so I went to Amick. I walked over to him, and then he looked at me and grabbed another trident from what seemed to be a rack. "Hey." I said to him.

"Hey," he said to me and then handed me the extra trident that he grabbed. Before I grabbed it he said something. "Your gonna need this." At that moment I grabbed the trident and then Amick started to show me some basic moves. Each day the group that we were in would go to another task of some sort.

Three months had passed, and I thought that I was almost half as good as Amick. In that time I learned how to sword fight, shoot a bow and arrow, throw mini knives, spear throwing, and the thing that I was best at was fighting with a trident.

Every day basically went the same, get up early, train, eat breakfast, train, eat lunch, train, get a break, train again, eat dinner, train, go to sleep. And that was it, nothing was different, children came and left, and everything was the same.

One day something different happened. It was ten after and I saw something in the corner of my eye. It took my eyes a while to adjust, and when they did the thing that I saw looked like some sort of a ship. ( The training area outside is near the ocean.)

I told Amick and Fay, but by the time I did the ships were already boarding the academy's ground. People were getting off with swords, and the clothing that they were wearing was odd.

My thought was interrupted by a loud bell ringing, I turned around to see that it was one of the Knights ringing the bell. And then he screamed something. "Pirates! Get the children inside!" When he said that, a frightened look came on my face. I remembered my dad telling me these terrifying stories about pirates, I also remember him saying that pirates killed my mother.

The pirates were running toward us, and so many people were shoving me so that they could get inside the academy. I couldn't move, all I could do was think about how my father told me that pirates had killed my mother right in front of him.

Two of the pirates came up to me and started to drag me too there ship. I didn't struggle because I knew that if I did, they would probably kill me.

They threw me onto there ship and just left me there. I tried to get up, but someone stepped on my back with there foot. I then moaned in pain hitting the hard wooden floor board. He then said. "Ah, yes." I looked up at him to see him with a smirk on his face. "You will make a mighty fine slave." He said quietly, but loud enough for the entire crew to hear him. "Won't she laddies!" He said to his crew, and they all yelled in agreement.

I looked at him with an angry face, knowing that I'd rather die than be a slave to the kind of people that killed my mother. "I am not a slave!" I said peevishly to that one cruel pirate.

"Ah but you are." He said to me. "Ael!" He continued. "You know where to take her!" And with that, a pirate grabbed me and dragged to to a door. He then opened the door with a key, then opened the door. He shoved me into the room witch seemed more like a dungeon, and closed the door.

Two years had passed, and I was still a slave. They didn't leave me stranded on an island, the didn't kill me, and they didn't sell me. I did the normal slave stuff, clean the ship, wash the clothes, prepare the meals, the only food that I got was the scraps left on their plates.

We traveled place to place, and the pirates were thieves. I was always a distraction when they were stealing, they had me distract people while they stole, and I never liked it.

Today was one of the worst days that I've ever spent on that ship. They did things that I couldn't even say to myself. And I wanted it to stop, so one day I did something stupid.

I had a very long talk to the captain about it, and he didn't really seem to care what so ever, but, I wasn't surprised. He then told me that the only way that I could be treated fairly, was if I beat the cruelest pirate on the ship in a sword fight, besides him. I agreed, I knew that I would probably die, but it was better than being a slave.

The next day, someone woke me up early in the morning and said to prepare for the sword fight. I got ready and walked out of the little dungeon that I slept in. I went to the middle of the boat where most people fight, and the captain handed me a sword.

The pirate that I was fighting was the worst of them all, and his name was Beleck. Then we started to fight to sword clang loudly as he slashed his sword at me several times, but every time I blocked it. We fought on and on for at least ten minutes and I was getting tired, luckily I still remembered how to sword fight from the academy.

He then slashed my arm and I knew that the fight wasn't over, I knew that it was a fight to the death. I then moaned in pain, but he still kept on swinging at me, I was even surprised that I was still alive at the time. Even though I was in pain, I still kept on fighting. I then knocked his sword out of his hand and stabbed him.

I wasn't surprised that I had stabbed him without any hesitation, I had always known, even when I was a little girl that I was cruel hearted. And ever sense then I was a legend that became known as the first girl pirate on that ship, and the first to beat Beleck in a freaking sword fight!
