Still just friends... Are you sure?

Chapter 1- We Passed!

It all started when Lucy and Mark were about to check if they passed the test at the university they have always wanted. They are walking through the gate of the university they when saw the board that would tell their faith. When suddenly Lucy stopped walking.

Lucy's P.O.V.

I was shocked that there was a board that was crowded with a lot of people. Some of them were crying and some has a big smile on their faces. Then I was so scared of what would happen to me. So I didn't even realize that I stopped walking. Then Mark was starting at me with curiosity. But when he saw my scared face, he put his left arm around my shoulders and he dragged me through the board. I wasn't looking because I don't really wanna know if I pass or not. Then when a saw Mark having a big smile on his face... He suddenly carried me saying "We passed Lucy! We passed!"

Without even noticing my tears fell down my cheeks. But I noticed Mark was still carrying me. I feel his arm around my waist and I could feel his abs somewhere on my hips. And I don't know why but my hand are around his neck. Then I said " Mark I know you're happy but you don't have to carry me all the way to my house right?". He laughed saying "Well sorry missy, I'm just happy that we're both going to the same university. How about you?" Realizing that we are still having the same school I'm happy because I would still have my best friend by my side. "I'm glad. But it would be sad leaving our family just because our house is far from the university. Well as long as you're with me it would be fine." I said smiling at him.

I didn't understand stand why he was looking at me shocked. And he just said "Yeah" smiling back at me. Well I knew that smile was fake. But I didn't really care.

We went to my house when everybody said "Congratulations!!!" Then I saw a lot of food at the table my family greeting me with smile on their faces. I got a little curious about how they knew we passed. When I asked Mark he said "Oh, I told them that we passed when we're on the way." I was happy and thanked him. But when he suddenly holds my wrist tight he pulled me to the couch where he was sitting. And now I'm sitting on his lap. His arm was around my back and another is just on my hips. My mind was blank because i was shocked. No one noticed because they were too busy eating. Then he said "Sweetheart, I would appreciate it if you'd kiss me." that made me blush. I could smell the alcohol from his mouth.Then I stand up and ran to my room.

I never thought that he would do that I mean I know he's drunk but since we were young but who would have thought that he wanted me to kiss him? Since when had he thought of me more than just a friend? I know he was drunk but is it true? Maybe I'm just over reacting. Im nothing more than just a friend to him.

-Getting ready to leave their house-

Lucy's P.O.V.

It's time... Thinking about what would happen if I left this house for a couple of months. What would it be like when you wake up not seeing your mom in your kitchen cooking? What would it be like when you have dinner not seeing the whole family? I just thought to myself that this was just another trial for me, and I should just find away to get through it.

I'm packing my bags when my mom told me "Good luck Honey, call me if you need me. Be careful, they're a lot of people and different kinds of personalities in each one of them. Some might be good looking but their personalities are otherwise. You're a smart girl, think your way through." I'm glad that she didn't cried that would result for me to cry too. So I just gave her a big hug and she kissed my cheeks.

When I was about to open the door to get outside. It was opened by someone from the outside and yes it was Mark. He opened the door and he was smiling like an idiot saying "Ready for school Lucy?" I was shocked that he said that nothing ever happened last night. But I just gave him a smile and said "I'm ready as I'll ever be. I guess." He took my bags and placed it in his car. He went to the driver's seat and said "Well are you coming or not?". Hearing him say that I gave my parents a last hug goodbye. Before I was able to open the door of Mark's car Mom said "I love you Lucy, tell us when you'll get back" with some tears fell down her cheeks. When I saw my mom I held back my tears to let her know I'm strong and just waved her goodbye.

I'm heading to a new school so new friends, new teachers, new environment, and... well new adventures and trials I have to take.
