"cara, listen, i love you, but if you say anything else about this kid, i swear i'm getting out of this car." i leaned my head back against the headrest of the passengers seat and groaned. "you already dragged me to go meet him."
"i didn't drag you. i could have taken jason." cara tapped her fingers against the leather steering wheel, turning the vehicle into a parking lot loaded with other cars.
"like your boyfriend would go with you, to this, above all."
cara ignored me and rolled her eyes, her irritated expression quickly being replaced with a look of pure excitement.
as soon as we had gotten out of the car, cara brushed away all her flyaway hairs and smoothed her pale pink sundress. "do i look okay?"
