Today I woke up and didn't even worry about where Chester might be. I didn't even care anymore. It's obvious it would do no good. He's just going to find some new way to ruin my life today. Any day. He's like a bad dream I can't wake from. He's like the biggest fear we all have as children. Except I'm not a child, I'm a grown ass man afraid of a damn doll. Or is it the doll I'm afraid of? What if it's the thing possessing it?
I didn't even know what that thing was. A demon, ghost, poltergeist, or maybe even Satan himself. I just didn't know.
I decided I was done. I went to see Father Graham, the priest of my mothers church.
"Hello, Adam!" He said, shaking my hand politely. "What can I do for you son?" He asked.
"Hello, father. I need help. I'm currently dealing with a uh..situation." I said.
I explained everything that was going on, and he looked at me concerned.
"You mustn't tell ANYONE else of this. This is very big! Very, very dangerous. Even my own life is in danger. Your life, and anyone else you may know. You cannot avoid such a being, for it will always find it's way. You never know, it could have been with you from the start of your career. Maybe even before that! Try, try to understand what I'm saying. This, 'being' what ever it may be, is too far from human. It's a demonic possession. Something about that doll has a demon attached to it, making its moves when it can. Be very careful. VERY."
After my talk with the priest, I went to see Annaleigh in the hospital, when I ran across Josie, her nurse.
"Hi, I went past Annaleigh's room and she wasn't in there. Did they move her?" I asked.
"Oh, Mr. McCalister, hello! Um, Anna was released this morning around 11:30 am. She should be back home." She said.
I instantly got in my car and left, and drove to Annaleigh's house. I knocked on the door, and she answered, smiling, just beautiful as ever. She let me in.
"Do you want anything to drink?" She asked.
"Just water please."
"So I heard you haven't performed in a couple days."
"Yeah I haven't really gotten the call to come back yet."
She sat down beside me, and all I could do was analyze her.
