I awoke to a faint beeping noise, on a very uncomfortable bed. The last thing I remembered was how angry I was when Chester told me all of the horrible things he done to Mia.
I must have blacked out. Hm.
My eyes finally adjusted, I looked around. I realized I was in a hospital bed, and the room was darkish, but there was a large light above my head. It's weird because at first it was like nobody was there; as if it were abandoned. I tried to move and I just felt aching all over my body.
"Woah there Mr. McCallister, you took a pretty bad fall." A nurse said. She looked at me with such delight, her green eyes and brown hair pulled back in a pony tail.
"Fall? What do you mean?"
"You don't remember?"
"No, I don't. What happened?"
"You jumped out of your apartment room window on the third floor. People were screaming at you but you didn't seem to hear anyone."
All I could do is lay my head back and sigh. Then she came to my bed, beside me, and got right up to my ear.
"It must have been Chester." She whispered, her voice more menacing than anything I've ever heard. Then she laughed, and it slowly transitioned into Chester's laugh. She pulled away from my face and she looked exactly like Mia. But she was so beautiful. Then I noticed something different, something strange. Her eyes were slowly turning from their beautiful blue to a dark brown, and her hair was slowly getting darker and shorter. Her face was slowly changing, her teeth were turning darker and her skin slowly started to look like wood, and her cheek bones were rising. I was starting to be able to make out the cut out of the mouth. Before I knew it, she looked exactly like Chester, and she put her index finger up to her mouth, and all of the sudden she opens her mouth and a loud screech comes out, and I slammed my eyes shut, hoping it would all go away.
