"I heard you got rid of all the bodyguards!"

Chi Ang rubbed his eyes. He was way too tired and he wasn't in the mood to argue with his mum right now.

"You're not going around causing trouble again, are you?"

A sigh escaped Chi Ang's lips as he walked past the fancy sliding doors of the hotel, his phone held against his ear as he listened to his mother's endless rants of worry. "What trouble? Who am I?" When she didn't respond to that, he rolled his eyes and said, "I'm your son, Mom. I'm going to make Dad proud this time and take you to China with me."

As these words tumbled out of mouth, he wondered to himself whether this promise really came from his heart or not. Chi Ang gazed sadly at the floor when he heard his mom softly laugh on the other end. It was one of the things he hates most, lying to his mother, the only one in the world who actually loves him.

"I can't believe you're still living there, though. It's not even a house, let alone a mansion. You deserv-"

"Chi Ang..."

"Anyway it's ridiculous for a beautiful woman like my mother to live in exile. I mean, who the hell even made that rule?" Chi Ang looked up to check his room number. His face twisted into a brilliant  smile one he heard his mother's ringing giggles. This time, it was a laugh made by a genuine word. He dug in his pockets in search of his room card. "Okay then. Pack your bags. I'll come pick you up in the morning."

"What? Oh wait, Wang Chi Ang!"

Chi Ang froze, the hand with his card raised in midair. "Yes?"

"I...I moved."

His hands retreated to his side, the tight grip on the fragile card loosening slightly. "To where?"

"I-I'll text you the address in a little bit, okay?" A hesitant pause, and she continued. "Come to that address tomorrow morning, okay?"

Wang Chi Ang bit his lips in uncertainty. This news was relieving yet there was something lurking underneath the happy blanket of truth. Why did she move all of a sudden? And why wouldn't she tell him where it was straight away instead of texting him? It all seemed so...dodgy. Chi Ang, though, slowly nodded to this, even though he knew his mum won't see his uncertain gesture of agreement. He ended the call with a cheerful 'Bye! I love you!', and immediately, felt the weight of loneliness replaced on his tired shoulders yet again.

Remembering that he was standing in front of his hotel room, he entered the room with the card. As soon as he stepped in, he was greeted by a pigsty of a room in front of him.

"Now which war did I miss out on? World War three?" He muttered to himself disappointedly and walked past the mess of clothes on the floor towards the telephone. With a single press of the '*' button, he was able to call the cleaning staff and ordered them to clean the mess as soon as possible. Before the poor lady at the other end could at least apologise, he ended the call and started getting ready for a shower.

One by one, he started stripping. His jacket fell to the floor, followed by his shirt that flew over his shoulder. He started heading for the door which he assumed was the bathroom. His hand went straight for the door knob, which turned open before he even touched it.

Chi Ang's eyes enlarged in shock. Following his sight upwards, he locked eyes with another man. Another man in his suite.

In slow motion, Chi Ang took his time to observe the man in front of him. His hair was what caught his attention. He swore he's seen those silver locks somewhere. The eyes, the same eyes he's seen somewhere else, were now dilated into an impossible size. He looked like a deer caught in front of the lights. Chi Ang's eyes zoned in on his throat as it bobbed up and down, as if he was about to say anything. He didn't say anything.

Wang Chi Ang took this moment to say something. Anything, anything to break this awkward silence and set things right. He opened his own mouth, ready to say the most diplomatic greeting he could muster at the moment.

"Who the hell are you?"
