Me and via met at our school.
(Amazing Grace School or AGS)
We were both in Preparatory.
I am older than her for about 9 months I guess.
We made friends with each other and ended up being BFFs for a LOOONG time.
I sorta remember this moment after my birthday celebration:
(Its not exactly like this)
February 14
AVVY'S POV
'Hahaha that was a fun celebration Avvy, we even have some McDonald's fries left!' said Via in a high pitched voice.
'Yeah! Let's eat them while we are in Arts class!' I replied while we both walked to the Arts room.
~~~~~
'Ok kids, please sit down on your chairs.' Ma'am Joyce , our teacher, said.
*the kids sat down*
'Ok, good morning class!' greeted Ma'am Joyce.
'Good morning!' we replied full of energy after eating my celebration meal.
And after that, we started our lesson with enjoyment.
'Oh *crunch* I like this topic!' Via said while quietly eating fries.
'Yeah,' I replied, I have stopped eating for a while because I was a bit carried away with our topic.
'Ma'am Joyce! Via is still eating fries!' a boy said.
Did I forget to mention that all the boys in our class hated AND bullied Via?
Well I always stood up for her, I was quite defensive for her, eh, I am her best friend after all.
Ma'am Joyce stopped talking and looked at Via, who was turning red from embarrassment.
'Via, why are you still eating?' Ma'am Joyce asked with her calm voice.
I looked at Via who was now staring at our teacher, speechless.
That's when I knew that it was time to take Via's place and answer for her.
I stood up gently and said 'Ma'am, she just wanted to finish her food so she brought it here.'
'Why would Via eat when she knows that teacher is discussing?' The same boy earlier said.
'Even if she is eating doesn't mean she doesn't listen!' I said without thinking.
Ma'am Joyce came closer and said 'Avvy is right, you can eat as long as you are paying attention.'
She smiled at me, and I smiled back.
As I sat down and Ma'am Joyce continued our lesson, Via looked at me and said thanks.
I smiled and said your welcome and hugged her.
That day is only one example of how I always stand up for her.
And from that day on, we became even closer.
