Chapter 2: The Headmaster
We fell in line while leaving the plane. After stepping out the airplane, I gazed at how large the academy is. Seriously, Its as big as any mega structure I've ever seen. Me and Lester were crossing fingers, hoping to be room mates. And fortunately we were.
There's this policy saying that we can do any thing to get comfortable in the academy, as long as its not against the rules(which were mostly relationship based). We were all called to the gymasium for an announcement from the headmaster.
"Yo Jack, we best be goin' mate"
"Yeah I'll catch up. Just let me buy something from the vending machine"
Its been a long ride and I need something sweet to waken me up. I saw some candy bars at the vending machine and all of them were looking delicious. So I mashed some numbers and let fate decide what I'll be having. Then down goes a Yorkie Bar. I went to pick it up, then a short asian girl with glasses came by.
"You're really gonna eat that?"
I was kind of surprised at what she said.
"Um.. Do you want some?"
"Actually no. I don't want some. You do realize that the chocolate bar you're holding contains a massive 367 calories and almost 3rd of its 68g weight is fat right?"
Oh man this girl must be fun at parties.
"Um.. No?"
"I see. Well next time try reading the contents at the back if you don't wanna get yourself killed".
Just let me eat my chocolate bar in peace woman! Well atleast she left after she said that. Thanks to what she said though, I don't even feel like eating anymore so I just pocketed my choco bar for later and head straight to the gymnasium. There I saw Lester waving at me so I headed to his direction.
"Yo mate, I was looking everywhere for ya"
"Sorry. Got a little stuck at the vending machine"
"Ha, its all good. The headmaster's about to give his speech"
The headmaster. I wondered what kind of person he is.
"Everyone please keep quiet as the headmaster is about to give his speech".
As he walks in, his attire really sets him apart from the other staff members. While the other staff members were wearing blue and gold, he's just wearing a simple green shirt and an open brown jacket with a red scarf.
"Ladies and gents. I am proffessor Fredrick Alexandros, your headmaster and I welcome you to our humble academy".
I can almost sense that this is gonna be a boring speech. I guessed approximately about 20 to 30 minutes long.
"Follow the rules and don't get caught disobeying. That'll be all".
I was wrong. The crowd burst into laughter.
"[Oww! Oww! H-hey!]"
"[Stop joking around and give the speech!]"
A woman went to his side and gave him a little pinch at the hand. I'm guessing that's his secretary. Then he waved at all of us. We all hushed afterwards.
"Sorry about that. I wanted to get back to my lunch right away but I guess that would be slightly impossible at the moment.
Alright, I see many new faces around here today. All of you are chosen to attend here at GGA because of one purpose. All of you are gifted".
Well I guess most of us. After thinking just that, he glanced at my way and smiled. I was startled abit but then he turned his head back to the center crowd.
"It is our job to train that gift of yours to the limit. Most of you may have not yet awaken to the calling inside you. We'll be sure to change that in your stay here at this academy.
So today we ask you all to rest. Go around the academy. Get yourselves familiarized with the facilities. Gain some friends and make use of the free time.
Because after this day, we will be starting your training. Goodluck to all of you. Headmaster out".
We gave a round of applause. I glad our headmaster isn't as bad as I thought. Well like he said we roamed around the academy and this is where things got a little more interesting.
