Chapter 3: Friend or Foe
We walked around campus, memorizing places that are going to be useful to us on our stay here at the academy (like the cafeteria, the bathroom, the water fountain, the vending machine and etc.). We went to the classroom that we will be attending for tomorrow at the 2nd floor.
"Looks like any kind of classroom aye mate?"
"Heh yeah. Guess this academy also has its normal sides".
Then just after I said that, cheering bursted from the floor just above us. Curious about it, we went to check what was happening and as we guessed, a fight was happening.
"Go Yin!"
"Lierra you got this!"
I'm guessing the asian black haired boy holding a wooden batton is Yin and the dark skinned red-head Brazillian girl is Lierra. So I checked my Student tracker(Oh, almost forgot to mention these. Each student of this academy is given a student tracker. Without these you can't attend school, eat meals from the cafeteria and etc. Just think of them as I.D.'s).
Student Name: Yin Cao, 3rd year
Fighting Style: One-handed Iaido sword art.
Ancestry: Warlord General Cao Cao of the eastern Han Dynasty. Known as one of the central figures of the three kingdoms.
Student Name: Lierra Pastinha, 3rd year
Fighting Style: Capoeira
Ancestry: Vicente Ferreira Pastinha aka. Mestre Pastinha. Known as the father of the brazillian fighting style Capoeira.
After seeing their profiles, I got excited. Seeing the both of them about to fight is like seeing their ancestors going head to head. Now I wonder who will prevail. The Capoeira style or Iaido. Just as Yin was about to initiate an attack, the speaker box around the upper corner of the classroom turned on.
"Sir Cao and Miss Pastinha, cease this match immediately".
I guess the party had to be cut short. Lester, me and a couple of students departed with dissapointed faces. Then after a while I saw her again at the bottom of the stairs, texting. I had a feeling like she's following me.
"Oh wow, is that Shion?"
"You know here?"
I was kind of surprised that Lester knew who she was. Why didn't I ask him sooner.
"So what do you know about her?"
"Well I'm not her friend or anything, but sher company is really famous"
"Oh? What does her company do?"
"Her company is a benefactor of many martial art championships. In other words, she controls when, where and how these championships will occur".
I see. She's famous coz of that. Then when I was about to turn away, she grabbed me by the arm again. Lester saw her grab my arm and smirked.
"Aight mate, see ya later".
"Hey Wait!".
Well Lester walked away fast and I'm left alone with Shion. She was pulling my arm, leading me somewhere and I can feel eyes looking at us at any direction. Then we stopped at the gymnasium where the headmaster gave his speech, which was now hollowed and empty.
"So.. Why'd you bring me here?"
"It's not what you think!"
"Uh huh"
She's kinda cute when you look at it. Then she pulled out something in her long bag.
"Wait, is that a rattan stick?"
She threw one at me. So I caught it and then she pulled out another one but this time she held it as if she's gonna strike me.
"Fight me"
"Huh!?"
