Chapter 26: Rescue

*Sasha's POV*

"Gene! You're finally back! What took you so long?" I asked my partner. I had sent him off with Kayden and Kendrick to go to the Shadow Knight's base back in our old neighborhood by the school most of the shadow knights had attended during their highschool years. They had gone to bring backup because I knew that kidnapping Wolf could get messy when it came to stealing the friend of several divine warriors. Three, to be exact; Enki, Irene, and Esmund. But what the didn't know is that we have our own Divine. And he's an experienced majiks user.

*Xylo: GNARLY

Tsubaski: You want to die a painful death, don't you?

Xylo: Not particularly. And I am helping.

Tsubaski: Ug.... Imma just continue.*

"Well we had to convince them that this was needed. Then I had to remind them that our lord stands with you, annnnnnnnnnnnd yeah," Kayden replied for Gene.

I rolled my eyes, "Bakas, just take them to the upper floors they can sleep there." I walked out of my little room, "Kendrick, Gene! Come with me, I need help making a little puppy talk." They scurried after me and we went into the elevator.

Before we went to the basement we picked up our lord. His name had been Titan, but when we found out he was the reincarnation of our lord, Shad, we had called him Shad or "My Lord".

Wolf looked up from the floor when we arrived, "Who are you people... Kendrick, Gene is that you?" He asked in a quiet, scared voice. Michi had been allowed to do what she wanted with him as long as it wasn't sexual. He hadn't said a word about anything useful; he just told us things he knew we knew.

"Hi Wolf. You look a little rattled." Gene looked kind of sad to see him like this. They had been good friends. Wolf looked down again, his head hanging.

"Just get on with it."

I pulled Shad up, "My Lord, would you mind tapping into his memory?" He looked at me.

"Why?" He looked genuinely confused.

"He knows things that can help us get what I want, and return a fellow shadow knight to us. Laurance was his best friend and we need to know what we can do to return him to your side," I explained, "Also, Laurance was my ex, soooooooooooo." Shad laughed and walked towards Wolf and stretched a hand out.

Wolf started to squirm in his chair. Sweat beaded his forehead. When Shad touched Wolf's forehead, the wolf thing screamed. Shad smirked and released Wolf's mind from his clutches, "He will talk now."

*Wolf's POV*

What did he do to me? Who was this person? What kind of majiks did he use? So many questions swirled through my head. I felt different, too, like I actually wanted to tell everyone everything I knew. I looked at the man in front of me. He turned to Sasha.

"He will talk now," He said. I started to freak out in my head. They could ask me whatever they needed to know and I would be powerless to stop myself from telling them. This spell he used would tear the answers from my tongue! Gahh... This is why I didn't let Xylo take witchcraft class back in highschool.

"Okay, Wolf, what is your darkest secret?" Gene smirked. He already knew the secret and would know if I was lying. I wanted to keep my mouth shut, but the majik overpowered my willpower.

"My darkest secret is that me and Xylo..." I gulped by instinct, "We had started dating behind everyone's backs since middle school and we... had 'it' in our second year of highschool." My cheeks were hot as fire. I had swore never to reveal this secret. Gene only knew of it because he had walked in on us.
