~Aubrey's POV~
It's been a few months since I've been out of college and I can honestly say I am no where near close to getting a job yet, it's killing me. I have been studying medicine at my time at college so of course it'll be hard to get a job in that line of work. I get up early like usual and hop into the shower. I dress up in a nice white button up shirt and a black pencil skirt, I tie half my curly chocolate brown hair back leaving a few curls to frame around my face. I put on light make up just to look at least semi-decent. Once satisfied I go down to the kitchen to pour myself a cup of coffee, while doing that I hear trucks outside.
Just to satisfy my curiosity, I walk over to my front window and have a peak outside. There are moving trucks in front of the house across the street, the Chapman's must be moving. I liked them, they were lovely people. I quickly glance at the time.
"Crap! I'm going to be late!" I scurry to grab my things and shoot out the door to my car.
I jump in and start driving to a private hospital just outside of town. I park my car and get out, quickly checking my reflection in the windows of my car before heading into the elevator. My hands start to shake, I was nervous. This was my 3rd interview this week for an internship at a hospital, I hope I get this one or I am screwed.
I step out of the elevator and walk into what seems to be a waiting room. I can see all types of people here all dressed up nicely who seem to be here for interviews as well. I check in at the reception and take a seat to wait for my turn. I couldn't help but go over my resume again and think of what to say when being asked the typical interview questions.
"Miss Aubrey Chambers?" A young woman calls out.
I immediately stand and follow her to a big office. I take the biggest breath I've ever taken and walk in.
~Michael's POV~
I stand in front of my new home and sigh. I moved here because there was too much going on back home and I had to get out, get a fresh start. I see my moving trucks pull up and help them unload. I was exhausted from driving all the way here so I only unpacked the necessary things I would need tonight and leave the rest for tomorrow. I walk out to the front porch and just look around.
"Wow. When was the last time someone mowed the lawn here?" I mumble to myself as I looked out at the front lawn.
The grass was long you could hide Godzilla in there and no one would notice. I looked down at my watch and thought if I quickly do it now I should be done before dark. I run out to the small shed in the backyard and fill it up with fuel before turning it on. I was now mowing the front lawn, I'm so glad I decided to wear a singlet because damn it was hot. I soon felt a tap on my shoulder to see a woman standing next to me. My god she was beautiful! She had beautiful chocolate brown hair that perfectly frames around her face, the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen and the most plump looking lips.
"Excuse me..." She begins with an irritated tone, "Don't you think it's a little late to be mowing the lawn?" She puts her hands on her hips and stares at me. To be quite honest I couldn't take her seriously while she was doing that.
"I'm almost done, this lawn looked like it hadn't been mowed since the house was built" I respond making sure I had a hint of sarcasm with my remark.
"You could have waited until tomorrow. Some people have had a stressful day and just want some peace and quiet when they come home." She glares at me.
"Like I said, lady, I'm almost done." I spit back getting annoyed with her attitude, "You're not the only one who's had a big day sweetheart."
"Don't call me that!" She holds up a finger while death glaring me, man if looks could kill.
"Sorry, honey" I smirk. She was looking real pissed now. She scoffs and storms to wherever she came from which happens to be the house across the street.
I watch her stomp all the way into her house and let out a chuckle. She has a feisty attitude, I know I was annoyed earlier but she seems interesting. I finish mowing and get cleaned up. I put on a blue button up shirt with black slacks and black loafers. I decide to go over to feisty girl's house to apologise for earlier. I walk up the steps and softly knock on the door. She opens the door and looks unimpressed with the fact I'm the one on the other side.
"What do you want?" She asks tilting her head to the side with a serious expression on her face.
"Ooh so feisty! I was coming here to apologise but if you want to act that way..." She cut me off.
"No wait..." She begins, her face softening, "I'm sorry. I'm just a little stressed, I shouldn't have taken it out on you. It wasn't fair"
"No it wasn't. We all have our days" I respond looking up at her, "I'm Michael, Michael Jackson" I hold my hand out, she takes my hand and shakes it.
"I'm Aubrey, Aubrey Chambers" She gives a small smile. Oh wow that smile.
