Part 19 - There's a Jackson On The Way

*Aubrey's POV*

It's been a few days since the little incident at the hospital which resulted in Michael and I finding out we're having a baby. We are having all of the Jackson's and my brother, Cody, over for a family lunch today to tell them the news. I'm so excited. I just finished getting dressed into a yellow sundress, I couldn't help but look at myself in the mirror. I turn to my side and look at my stomach, I pout wishing there was a bump there but not yet.

I feel and see a big pair of hands being placed on my stomach, I smile and look up at Michael in the mirror. He gives me a heart-warming smile back.

"I'm waiting for that bump just as much as you are. I can't wait, you're going to look so cute." He grins and lays his head against mine.

"Yeah...and then I'm going to look like a whale." I sigh and Michael giggles.

"Hey you'll look like the most adorable whale ever!" He laughs, I turn around and playfully slap his arm.

We hear a knock on our bedroom door, Janet walks into the room with a big grin on her face.

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe I'm going to be an Aunty!" She covers her mouth, tears start forming in her eyes.

"Aww Janet." I giggle and pull her into a hug.

"You're so soft, Dunk." Michael laughs.

Janet and Michael ran around doing the cleaning and cooking. They said I wasn't allowed to lift a finger, they take the doctors orders a little too seriously. I guess I shouldn't complain though, they're just trying to look after me.

"Hey!" I yell, seeing Michael throw a spoonful of corn at Janet, "Don't make me come over there!"

I could hear the both of them giggling, they just spent the morning cleaning, if they want me to relax they need to stop. I couldn't help but giggle at their childish ways, they had such a good friendship.

"He started it!" Janet whined.

"Yeah well I'm about to finish it!" I glare at them both.

"No you're gonna stay there because if you get up and walk over here..." Michael says turning around.

"Yeah? Or what?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Ooh!" Janet cooed.

"I'm...I'm just going to be aware of it." Michael gulps then turns back around.

"Aww Mike's scared of a girl." Janet smirks.

"Yeah, a very hormonal one who can throw punches like a boxer." Michael mutters.

I smirk and pick up a book to read with Bo sitting in my lap. Janet and Michael finish the cooking and start setting up the outdoor table outside. Everyone starts arriving.

"Aubrey, honey. How are you feeling?" Katherine asks when she walks in.

"I'm feeling better. Thank you for the beautiful flowers and that casserole." I smile, giving her a hug.

"Anything for family." She smiles.

"You gave us all a scare little sis." Cody says.

"I know, I'm sorry." I sigh.

"As long as you're okay now that's all that matters." He says wrapping his arm around me.

We all sat down and started eating. La Toya was pouring glasses of wine for everyone and came to me, I politely declined and she gave me a funny look. Michael smiled at me.

"Think it's time?" He asks.

"Yes." I smile.

We both stand up and take each other's hands. Since Michael is drinking wine he lightly taps his fork on the glass to get everyone's attention.

"Excuse me everyone. I would just like to thank everyone for coming out today and for your support for the other day with what happened to Aubrey. We actually have some news in relation to that..." Michael looks over at me, "You want to say it?"

"Sure. The reason for my illness is that I was unaware well we both were unaware that...I'm pregnant!" I grin.

"Oh my gosh! Congratulations." Katherine gasps.

Each member of the Jackson family congratulated Michael and I on our wonderful news.

"I would like to make a toast." Janet begins.

Everyone settled back into their seats and rose their glasses, fixing their attention on Janet.

"Michael and Aubrey have been through a lot together over these months. Some bad but mostly good. Everything has been thrown at them left right and centre, and look at them now. Stronger than ever and have a baby Jackson on the way. So here's to Michael and Aubrey!" She smiles. Everyone cheers and takes a sip from their drinks.

It was getting later into the evening and everyone said their goodbyes, leaving just Michael and I to ourselves. I went and sat on our bed. I sighed and stared out the window.

"What are you thinking about?" Michael asks as he sits beside me.

"Thinking about how perfect everything has become. Janet's right, everything has been thrown at us and we've come out on top everytime. If anything all the negatives has made us stronger." I smile and hold his hand. He kisses my cheek.

"That is true. Nothing or no one will get in the way of what we have, I won't let them. I love you and you are my world. We have a baby coming..." Michael says and rubs my tummy.

"This baby is a blessing." I smile while watching his hand.

"Yes. There's only one more thing left to make this more perfect." Michael states.

"What's that's, honey?" I ask.

Michael slowly rises off the bed and gets down on one knee in front of me, he pulls out a diamond ring and holds it up in front of me. He looks into my eyes before speaking. I can feel my heart racing and my breath caught in my throat.

"Aubrey Chambers? Will you marry me?"
