A Life After Darkness

Chapter 5

                         (Clary's POV)
I don't open my eyes when I wake up but I listen very closely. "Great job my newest servant. I am surprised you didn't have to deal with my little sisters boyfriend." I know that voice from back in Valentines apartment. Hearing it still makes me want to cower in fear. "He was preoccupied, to busy attempting to make her chase after him to notice she was gone." I recognize that voice, and everything comes flooding back. The kidnapping seeing those pitch black eyes, me  trying to scream. I can't believe who took me to my evil brother. I trusted him and now I regret it. How could Magnus do this?

(Jace POV)
After my suspicion of Magnus taking Clary and the Silent Brothers being mostly dead and busy with other matters. I decided to go to Alec instead, maybe our special bond will help track Clary. I get to his room and the door is cracked half way open. I knock and wait for him to give me the okay to come in when he doesn't I enter anyway. "HEY" Alec yelled in protest but I continue anyway. "I need our bond. Clary is missing, you can go back to crying over your lost boyfriend after we find her." I interrupt as I look around the room. Normally Alec's room is neat and together but I guess he is taking this break up harder than I thought. "What if she just went to the supermarket or something?" Alec asked. "With out her shoes or coat? Clary would never leave with out telling me. She knows that scares me and When was the last time you saw Magnus?" Alec looked down. "The meeting was the last place I saw him. Why do you ask?" 
"That was the last time I saw Clary as well. I do not believe that is just some coincidence."
