Percy lay on his stomach in the Poseidon cabin. His bunk was so comfortable. He didn't want to get back up. Ever.
"Wake up," a smooth voice said. Percy smiled. The person sat on his bunk and ran their fingers through his hair.
"Percy, wake up." Annabeth said again. Percy groaned.
"Come on, Seaweed Brain," she laughed. Percy sighed.
"Can we just, stay like this?" Percy moaned. Annabeth chuckled and leaned down and whispered in his ear.
"Wake up, sleepy head. I've got something to show you."
Percy sighed again but rolled over.
"Hey there," he said as he smiled. Annabeth was as beautiful as ever. Her blonde curls tumbled down her toned frame. Her stormy grey eyes shone vigorously.
"It's about time, sleepy head." She replied.
"What's my surprise?" He asked bounding up and down on his mattress. Annabeth laughed.
"Come on. I'll show you."
She grabbed his hand and led him out of the cabin. It was still dark outside.
"Annabeth, what time-" Percy began, but Annabeth turned around and kissed him.
"Quiet, Seaweed Brain. You don't want to wake the others, do you?" She said. Percy smiled and let her lead him to the lake.
"Annabeth, I hate to tell you this, but I've already seen the lake." He said.
"Shut up, Percy." She replied. "Just watch."
Percy did. For the longest time, nothing happened. But Percy enjoyed the smell of the salty sea. He liked the ocean breeze that ruffled his hair. The moon cast a beautiful glow off the water. Percy turned to look at Annabeth.
The silvery moonlight shone on her face, highlighting her nose and cheekbones. Her hair blew gently in the wind. She looked out across the sea with knowing eyes. Percy leaned his face over and let his lips brush her hair as he whispered, "I love you, Wise Girl."
She smiled. "I love you too, Percy."
Then a large splash came from the lake. Percy jerked his head back to the water and reached for Riptide. Annabeth's arm stopped him.
"Relax," she said. "It's just your surprise."
Percy looked curiously at the lake. As he watched, a large man emerged. Percy stood slowly, too shocked to speak.
Annabeth laughed. "Well?" She said. Percy looked at her in disbelief.
"Annabeth..." He breathed. "How did you-"
"Let's just say, your Dad and I decided to team up for your 19th birthday."
Percy walked slowly to the man.
"I don't believe it. It's really you..." He said.
The man smiled as Percy embraced him. His one large eye began to water.
"Hello Brother." He said.
Who knows who the big man is?? ;)
