Percy, Jason, Leo, Nico, and Frank had decided to start an "annual Boy's Day". Every year, they would take a car to Manhattan, spending the entire day doing absolutely anything.
It could be unanimously agreed that the car ride was usually the most interesting part.
Today, Jason was driving. Percy had shotgun. Leo, Nico, and Frank were shoved in the back. The radio blared, but Nico had his own headphones on and appeared to be sleeping on the far right side. Percy was turned around backwards, singing a love duet with Leo. Frank...Well, Frank watched in horror.
"WHEN I SEE YOUR FACE!" Leo squawked.
"THERE'S NOT A THING THAT I WOULD CHANGE!" Percy cried.
"Cause girl you're amaz- JASON!" Leo yelled as Jason changed the station. Jason smirked.
"This girl-" the radio sang.
"NO!" Everyone but Leo chorused.
"Awe yeah! Turn it up, bro! This is my jam! SHE'S ON FIRE AHHHHUAH!" Leo began dancing in the back seat.
"Please!" Frank cried. "Turn it off!"
Percy reached over to change the station again.
"So lights em up up up-" the radio blared.
"NOT AGAIN!" Jason cried.
"WHY!" Frank howled.
"HADES, NO!" Percy yelled.
"I'M ON FIYAH!" Leo sang.
Jason swerved into a parking lot and turned off the engine. Everyone but Leo sighed and scrambled out of the car.

"Come on, guys?" Leo said as the group ate their lunch in a plaza.
"No, Leo." Jason said.
"I'm not that bad, am I?" He asked hopefully.
"Yes!" Percy replied.
"You're WORSE than 'that bad'!" Frank retorted.
"Leo, I could feel the dead wishing to kill themselves as you sang!" Nico said.
Leo lowered his head and ate in silence. For a while, not much was discussed. Until Jason perked up.
"Guys." He said. They all looked at him. "Look over there, and tell me that those aren't our girlfriends."
All five boys gawked at a group of girls a few tables away.
"Pipes?" Jason called. She swerved around.
"Oh, hi Jason!" She said, delighted.
"Um, hi. What are you doing here?"
"I was wondering the same about you, Annabeth." Percy asked.
"What," She said, sarcastically. "I can't eat at a plaza without permission?"
"Not when you're supposed to be at camp teaching a battle class!" Percy exclaimed. Annabeth chuckled.
"Oh, Seaweed Brain. You really think they'd let me teach that?" She replied. Percy nodded.
"Yes! Because you told me they did!" He said.
"Percy, let me spell this out, very clearly." Reyna said. "Annabeth...was...using...that...as...an...excuse." She said slowly.
Percy was still confused. "An excuse for what?" He asked. The girls giggled and the boys face palmed.
"For a Girl's Day!" Jason said.
"But, if they have 'Girl's Day' on Boy's Day...then-then it isn't Boy's Day! It's... it's just a day!" Percy cried.
"No," Annabeth said. "It's not..."
"Did-did Percy just..." Reyna stumbled.
"Say something that...that made..." Jason mumbled.
"Made sense?" Piper finished.
Nobody spoke for a long time.
Because for once, Percy had said something right.
