*Erik's PoV*

F*ck my life! I've already had enough then this girl came. I admit I like how she tries to make me smile but its getting too annoying. Everyday she gave me something that'll make me "smile" which I don't.

Today she brought me a  cupcake. It was surprising at first but annoying in the end.

Why would she want me to smile anyway? Its not like she's dying and my smile could cure her. What's worst? The worst is that she's in one, at least one, of my class everyday.

I walked to my locker carrying my duffel bag. Once I got there I put my duffel bag in and exchange it with my gym bag.

I was so thankful that she isn't in my gym class.

As I was walking to gym someone stopped me. "Stop for a sec." She said. This girl is really annoying me.

"Why don't you smile?" She asked. "I'm late." I said annoyed. Here we go about the smile thing again. She sighed and speak once again. "There's still time."

I groaned and tried to walk pass her but she stop me again. "What?" I said with an  irritated.

"Why don't you smile?" She repeats. I furrowed my eyebrows and gave her a scowl.

"I don't have a smile, okay? Now leave me alone." I growled at her.

"Don't have a smile?"

I groaned once again. I walked passed her but she said something that made me stop. "Then I'll give you one of mine."

"You, why do you smile?" I blurted out. Dammit! I wasn't supposed to say that.

"Because I wanna make everyone smile. So I have to smile first before that."

"Then I'll give you a frown. And stop doing this!" I snarled. This is the first time I saw her lose a smile. I appreciate what she did but that doesn't mean I like it.

I left her and headed to the gym.

*Amy's PoV*

Its math class and that means after that its lunch. Chloe was so surprise when she saw me entered the class without a smile.

I just wanted to help him. I thought maybe that if I knew why he doesn't smile, I can help him a lot easier yet he pushed me away. But pushing me away isn't going to stop me. I know that it means to stop when they pushed you away, but I'm not doing that. I want to help, so that's what I'm gonna do. I can't give up when I just started. Why give up when you can finish it?

Anyway, I was too bored to listen so I ended up on my thoughts.

I don't really know Erik, so how will I be able to make him smile? Whenever I try to ask him I freak out, I'm afraid that he might cry or something because his eyes are dead as if someone so closed to him died.

So I figured to asked others, I already asked everyone about his past and all I got is that I should stay away from him and that he used to have the brightest smile. I guess the sayings of my grandmother are true; the saddest, smile the brightest, but then that means he used to be sad before he used to be happy? How-

"Ms. Garnett, what's the answer?" I stood up unknowingly. What? What did she say? I look at Chloe hoping she'll help me, thankfully she is.

She gestured me to look at her hands, which I did, and saw that she folded her two fingers showing me its three. "Three?"

"Correct." I sat down with a sigh of relief. "We have a rule in this class and that is to remain listening."

"Sorry ma'am." I said and sit down and getting back to ignoring the teacher and continue my thoughts.

*imaginary lightbulb appears on top of my head*

I have an idea!

*Erik's PoV*

"Is this seat taken?" Someone asked from behind. I turned around and saw Aliah? Anna? Whatever her name is. I glared at her and shook mt head. She was about to sit down but I speak, "It may not be taken but no one can seat here."

She smirk and sat beside me. "What the?"

"I said no one sits here!" I yelled not really loud though. Everyone's eyes is on us. "What are you looking at?" With that they went back to doing what they were doing. Why do they do that anyway?

Why don't they just mind their own businesses?

"Then why sit here?" She said as a matter of fact.

"Except me." I answered and continue to ignore her.

"I just wanna be your friend."

"No thank you. I told you to stop doing this why continue it?"

"Is it annoying?" She asks dubiously.

"You're annoying." I stated. I stood up and left her. She seems to be more annoying and it's a lot more annoying than last time.

Hours pass like a blur. I woke out the school and saw the girl again. Surprisingly she's not smiling. She kept walking with her head low. She doesn't seem to notice the rock so she tripped with her face flat on the ground.

*Amy's PoV*

Because of my mind wandering on its own, stupidness replaced it and now my my face is flat on the ground.

I cried. I don't know why I'm crying all I know is that it hurts. It hurts so damn much!

I'm sorry mom! I'm sorry I didn't fulfill my promise.

I stopped crying when I saw someone is in front of me.

Erik.

What is he doing here? Didn't he wanted me away from him. Once again, there were tears. A flood of tears were falling.

My eyes widen. D-did he just...

... smile?

I can't help but smile as well. To my surprise he hugged me.

"I'm sorry." He whispered.

I hugged him back but tighter. "Thank you, Amy." He continued, "Thank you for making me smile again."

"Thank you..."
