"Here. It's just small pop quiz from Chemistry." he awkwardly handed me a thick stack of white papers and huffed. Taking them in my arms, I peered through my annoyingly long lashes and noticed Bradley Good, one of the popular soccer players, looking down at me. I smiled, while looking through the booklets, "Small pop quiz, huh? When should I complete it for?"
Surprisingly he chuckled and stuffed his hands in his pockets, "It's due next week on Monday, so could you get it done by Friday," he paused dramatically, "Please?.." I laughed and grinned up at him to lighten the mood. "Sure will do sir!" I chirped, while saluting with two fingers.
Bradley returned the grin, "Okay, well thanks...Ciarra?..." He asked and frowned. "Claya Chester. You can call me Clay, I know, weird nickname." I said and smiled at him.
Someone called Bradley from behind us as he looked over my shoulder. He scratched the back oh his head, "Oh. Sorry, I'm not really that good on names. I'm Bradley Good by the way. Anyway I'll see yah later, Kay?" I nodded my head and waved at him and he jogged to his friends.
I sighed and stuffed the papers into my locker that was in front of me. Lifting my glasses higher above my nose, I noticed the corridors were eerily quiet. No gossiping, no laughing, no bullying just long, deafening whispers echoing in and out. I frowned, readjusting and fiddling with the scarf around my neck and tucking my black, thick, lengthy hair into my beanie, as a shiver ran down my spine.
The last time Mulberrington High was that soundless, I was covered in purple, unremovable paint and humiliated in front of my entire Math class. How?
It was a normal, shining, hot day as I strolled my way towards Math. Girls would look at me and giggle to their friends while boys would look at their friends mischievously and smirk to themselves. Stupidly, I brushed it off and continued my walk to class. I reached the door, and was about to grab the door knob when I heard a few gasps around me.
I glanced around and everyone was staring at me, some with apprehensive eyes, some with excited. I frowned and twisted the door knob and entered.
Splat!
The next thing I knew I was smothered in purple liquid, while hearing uncontrollable laughter around me. "Nerd! Nerd! She's a purple nerd!" They all chanted together. It was so honestly, gruesomely horrible, I could feel the corner of my eyes water but ignored everything and ran straight home. Yes. While looking like a "purple nerd"
Gee. My dad's face that day was shockingly unforgettable. I shake my head to release the taunting memories and stalked my way to my first class.

2 periods into the day, and I definitely wasn't expecting every girl to be grinning from ear to ear and every boy to be glaring and grunting at their girlfriends as they blabbered about something. Ugh. I needed to find out what this something was.
Truthfully, I never payed attention to the world, as long as it didn't bother my family, friends and I. But the bizarre atmosphere was burning the curiosity in me.

After another two agonisingly mysterious periods, it was lunch time meaning I would finally see the beautiful faces of my two weird best friends.
I entered the cafeteria and searched for the familiar dark purple hair of Diana Reids. Her hair amazed me all the time, sometimes it would be a dark red colour in sun and then in the shade it would magically transform into a maroon colour. I was cleared out of my thoughts when I caught a glimpse of her in the corner of cafeteria.
I quickly walked towards and plopped next to her. "Someone's looking nice today. Spill. Who you trying to impress today?" I nudged her while smirking. Diana's hair was neatly made into a dutch braid, falling elegantly along her head and her beautiful emerald green eyes were complemented with mascara, something she never used. "Oh can't an innocent little girl like me just look nice for once?" She gasped, only leaving me laughing and shaking my head at her sarcasm.
We were abruptly interrupted by a high squeal behind us. We turned to see Sara Cameron, our other best friend, sprinting towards us and she took a seat in front of us. She was probably the most ecstatic out of all three of us. With her gossip up to date and her fashion on point, anyone would envy the way her thick brown hair lay sleek straight above her collarbone and her brown eyes gleamed with joy. But she still accepted us even though we were nerds.
"Omg omg omg omg omg guys! Guess what?! Actually don't. We'll be sitting her till March with you guys talking about science and math. Anyway! There are new kids!" She finished off with her hands clamped together, looking at us expectantly. Diana raised her eyebrow, " Woman, we had new students last month, but there was no "omg, new kids!!" Was there?" As she imitated her actions.
Sara grinned at us. "That's the point my girls. Apparently, they're smoking hot bad boys!" Oh. So that was what all the girls were eager about..
Her gaze flickered over our shoulders and her eyes gleamed with satisfaction. "Okay girls... Drum rolls please." Sara said without looking at us. We obediently started hitting our palms on the table."3...2...1... Turn around!" She whisper-yelled. Mine and Diana's heads turned to see 4, tall masculine figures entering the cafeteria; everyone's eyes were on them as they strolled in further looking like absolute Greek Gods. They're muscular, bulky physiques towered everyone as they smirked victoriously.
They all had chestnut brown hair and different coloured eyes. Bright Turquoise...Night Blue...Leafy Green and.... Hazel. Wow. Those unbelievably gorgeous eyes captured my attention right away. They were dressed gloriously with their bad boy vibe gleaming off them. I sighed tiredly as I thought about the hundreds of beautiful girls in the school that would chase after them to have their attention. I knew they'd be like any other popular people: either ignore the existence of the lower class, or bully them to ruin their lives. Yup, I choose the first one.
Stiffly turning in my seat, I pouted childishly and looked at Sara. "Hey, you know "bad boys" aren't my type!" I whined. I heard Diana sigh dreamily beside me, "I would change my type any day for them." Sara and I giggled at Diana's change of attitude already. I frowned when I saw the four boys sitting by themselves in another corner, diagonally opposite from us and not with the typical popular table in the centre of the cafeteria.
Well this was different.
