"It would be easier if we would just split up." Zayn informed Liam

-

"Do you like her?" The question caught him off guard and became a little red. "Who?" "Kitty Kat." I answered and wiggled my eyebrows. "N-No. Of course not. I would never. Not that she's ugly. She's the most beautiful girl I ever saw but-" I giggled at this and rolled my eyes. I want to see Zayn's reaction. Or better. Harry's. To know that his lovely girlfriend was caught between two men who fell deeply in love with her.

-

"I-... I was afraid that something different would happen between the two of us." he hesitantly said.

"You mean that.."

"Yeah."

-

"Nothing would ever happen between us, Zayn. How could I ever feel something for you!?" His eyes fell down and he seemed to be sad.. hurt.

"I know.. just forget it alright?"

Kate's PoV:

My mom always told me that love could be cruel. She, of course, was speaking about my father who has abandoned her right after I was born. Since I've met Harry I thought these things were only some clichés in stories or movies. But I'm rethinking that.

I never planned to feel this way- I mean who has? - and I hate myself for even allowing myself to care after all the things that happened. But the reason I hate myself the most is because I know I'm hurting Harry and despite my feelings for him I will always love Harry.

I quickly took in my surroundings and let a sigh out. Zayn didn't even glance at me since our little conversation and honestly I was glad I was left alone. I needed the time without someone nagging on me 24 hours. We were coming closer to a harbour without any other ships nearby, which was strange because it's in the middle of the day. The boys were close behind us with their clearly worse ship than our's. After a few seconds I finally could see the sign right next to some boats.

"Hartlepool."

I'm definitely not near my home anymore.

-

Zayn kept looking back and forth while putting a beanie over my head hastily. Liam and the others soon came to us and started looking expectedly at Zayn.

"Well, do you want to lighten us up and tell us what the hell we're doing in Hartlepool?" Liam started and Zayn scoffed. "Just fucking wait for once, alright? She isn't usually late." She?

Great. I sound like a jealous girlfriend. Even though I already have a boyfriend. And I kinda crush on serial killers. Is the Stockholm Syndrome slowly kicking in? Or am I just plain stupid? Without realising I zoned out on the conversation and didn't realise that Niall was tapping on my shoulder. "Are you ok?" he asked worriedly and I nodded quickly. Zayn, Liam and Louis were starting to have a heated discussion about Zayn's plans and mysterious girls awaiting us while Niall was leaning on me impatiently.
