I grabbed the lock in my clammy hands and stuck the close pin in. I worked at it with clumsiness. My hands were so shaky and unsteady that I kept dropping the pin onto the floor. I cursed at myself each time I did so. My fear was getting in the way. I drop it again and I bite my hand to keep from screaming. It was stuck in between the floorboards. I want to cry, but I know one sudden movement and it's gone forever. I keep my hand over my mouth and look around for an answer.

Knock, Knock

You were knocking at the door. I bite down on my hand harder as I saw the pin slip further.

"Willow?" You asked anxiously.

I started to hyperventilate a little. If you came in you would probably step right on top of it and let it fall into the sea.

"I'm coming in."

You walked in and saw me kneeled on the floor. I had taken the hand out of my mouth before you had walked in. You looked down at me in confusion. I needed to cover this up and keep you from walking in more and letting my pin fall.

"What are you doing in here?"

I look up at him in fear. I was blank in the mind. I didn't know what to say. You stared down at me waiting for an answer.

"Listening to t-the ocean." I lay my head down onto the wood listening to the ocean beneath us. I closed my eyes hoping you would buy it and leave me be.

I heard you coming over to me. I sucked in a breath opening my eyes to look at the pin. It was still in its spot between the boards. You walked right on top of it. I bite down hard onto my lip as you bent down and put two fingers under my chin. You tilted my head up and made me look at you.

"Oh, Willow. You're just so," You take a deep, ragged breath, "perfect."

I'm breathless as I unclasp my lip from my teeth. You tuck a piece of hair behind my ear and stand back up. I keep my stare down as I try to regain my breath.

"I'll be back soon to check in on you. You need anything just call for me. I'm here."

You give me a small smile as you turn and walk towards the door. Once the door had shut closed I scrambled over to the pin jamming my pinky finger into the crack. I cried out in pain as splinters cut into my flesh.

Stop, you need to think this through. A hook. If I had a hook I could lift it right out of its little crack. I scanned the room. No way was there a hook in here. I looked down at my bleeding finger. I had a ragged hang nail that would do just the trick. I chewed on it to make the shape just right, and lowered my finger down the crack once again. I hold as my breath as I try my best to scoop it up. I could feel the splinters going deeper and deeper into my skin. I was screaming on the inside, but all my pain disappears when I pull it up. I practically run to the lock and shove the pin in. I haven't actually done this before, but I have watched a lot of TV. When i hear the sound of the lock I actually smile. I was out. Now, I just needed a plan.

The sun hit my face as I crawled out of the dark room. I saw you straight away. You were at the head on the boat, lounging in a chair drinking away. I looked around for any kind of weapon. My plan was to take you out and I take control of the boat. I would find land and get back home.

I found a sharp rod used for spearing fish I suppose. Grabbed it slowly not making a sound. I got up from my knees and walked slowly over to you. My heart was racing. I've never stabbed someone, never wanted to, but in this moment there was nothing I wanted more. I wanted to end you. My hands were white from how hard I was gripping. My breath was starting to come out ragged, but you couldn't hear over the waves.
