Chapter 2

The next morning:

I sit at the top of a building, thinking about everything that happened. I found a newspaper and realize I've been in a coma for a whole year, just by looking at the date. The house I've lived in, is empty. All that I've owned, gone. My parents, gone. I probably couldn't go to school if i was a dead person walking.
Then everything flashed as i thought about yesterday. Every time my eyesight went from a crystal red color, time slowed down. I gotten shot two times and it didn't bother me. Hell, i couldn't even find the holes i was shot at. The only question that came to my mind is, how did i end up like this?

Then it clicked, i was shot and sent falling off a building. For what, for telling Mark's father that his kid's bullying is getting out of hand. The beatings, humiliation, all has gotten way too far. My hands starts to shake as i remember it all. It all taken place in Hyde's tower, i was telling Mr. Hyde everything that has happened in school. Then his reply struck me.

"You walked your ass all the way here, just because your girlfriend was getting picked on by my son's at school." She was new girl in my school, it was only the first day for her to face hell, in a matter of seconds. "I walked out on an important meeting that could make me money to waste my time on a porch monkey." He laughs in a sarcastic tone. My mom taught me to never lead to violence, I've be through enough when i was young. But this guy, is really pushing my buttons. "Well sir, I'm sorry, but you gonna have to leave." He points to the door. His face shows that he's back to being serious.

"Hey, you can't do this!" I try to walk up to him, but two of his body guards holds me back and drags me out of his office. "I'm not leaving!" I elbowed one of the guys nuts. He lets go, focusing on his own pain. I try to make a run for it, but the other guy grabs me by the collar of my shirt. I lost my balance and fell on my butt. I get dragged away again, like a little child.

As irritated as i am, I'm not going another day dealing with the bullies in my school. I turn to bite his hand so he could let go. His screaming helps let me know i succeeded. After he lets go, i ran for his office again. By the time i entered his office, time stopped as i face Mr.Hyde aiming a shot gun at me. I walked slowly to the middle of his office, where the window stands behind me. The window is big enough to see all of Chicago.

"Easy dude, you wouldn't shoot an innocent kid. Think about the consequences." I said revealing some confidence that he wouldn't go through with it.
"I have," He cocks the gun. "I'm rich." Then there was a loud bang. My body is forced out of window, then everything went blank.

Here i am now, clutching the chest that i got shot at. Checking the newspaper, finding his name on a section. It talks about a deal he made with general Ross, all about making advanced tech to make the military force more strong. But what about me, did i even get justice for what he did to me? I guess not, if he's still in business.

"Not for long," I thought to myself as i threw the newspaper off the roof. "It's definitely pay back time."

"But first thing first." I turn to a corner of the roof. A very stupid idea just came to me. I decided to let gravity take control of me as i fall to my possible doom. If i make it, good things are to come. If not, oh well.

Then everything just turned on. I punched a hole into a brick wall to stop myself from falling, i pulled my whole weight upward, finding myself on the roof again.
Everything was just exhilarating, and i mean very. I took a look at the hand i used to punch a hole with. Blood, bone, and loose flesh is all that's seen. My thoughts were only disgust until i watched my hand stitch itself back together, covering the blood and bone. "Holy shit, I got like healing powers. Cool!"

Another idea just clicked to me, an awesome one. A nerdy one. "Time to go shopping."
