It happened fast. Abrupt. Just like a bullet flying from a gun. You never realize the impact until it is a part of you. But God knows how much it fucking hurts. Sometimes, I feel like the bullet would have been less painful than what happened.
Pain, suffering, followed by passion, lust, desire, and absolute joy. Emotions that boggle the human characteristic and alter us. They leave us scarred, altered. Emotions that, up until this point, were of such insignificance in my life, I never payed attention to them. Then, one thing led to another and now here I am. Altered. Stronger? Maybe. Fascinated? Absolutely. Scarred? Fuck yes.
Growing up has never been easy for me. I've always been the odd one out. The last man standing. I grew up battered and bruised. At this point in the game, I shouldn't even be alive. Yet, by some fucking irony, I'm alive. I've always excelled in things, always trying to push myself through the twisted thing that is life. Always looking forward on my life outside this life, the life outside of the 20,000 population town I've "grown" in my entire life. Knowing the same people from day one, literally. It seems like nobody wants to leave this damn town! Being seventeen, you would think I would be dating someone, but nope. Everyone here is a narcissistic and rich asshole not worthy of anyone's time. Why would I want to involve myself with anyone of that caliber if I am not even remotely like that? I love being kind, listening to people, and reading. Not having sex, partying, and staying up bragging about how attractive I am.
I thought I had my life figured out, but now I'm fucking lost. Summer is approaching and I have so much shit and drama to deal with, that I am scared for my life. This is my story of what happened. My name is Daniella, and this is my story.
