Ikuto's POV

I am an observant person, mostly because I'm quiet. I notice how people act and talk because of body languages and stuff. No big deal about that.

But this girl caught my eye. Hinamori Amu. The girl with two facades.

She acts like a popular girl; kind, helpful, and is a role model to others. But it seems, she is hiding another part of herself. It makes me curious, yes.

A while ago before our last period, Amu was at her locker with Sienna, her best friend. They were talking like normal, but it seems like Amu was having trouble keeping up with the conversation. She sweats frequently and stutters sometimes. It's weird since she's always confident with her words.

Hm, should I talk to her? Or should I not? These were the questions I've been asking myself ever since. I should wait for the perfect timing. Then I'll talk to her.

Pfft. I've been saying that for months. The perfect timing never came.

Amu's POV

Another day has ended, and me and Sienna were walking up to the school gates. "Hey Amu, let's go to the mall! We were dismissed early and we should spend this time to relax!" Sienna cheerfully said. "Nah, I'm going to pass. I have a lot of things to do back home. I'm sorry." I 'sincerely' replied. "Ah, I see. It's alright Amu. I understand." Sienna gave a sincere smile. "Stay safe on the way home! Bye!" She waved at me as she ran on the sidewalk going home. I sighed.

Finally alone time again.

Ikuto's POV

Hm, I guess I should follow Amu today. She seems suspicious.

She was alone. She wasn't with Sienna. Probably ditched plans with her for something else.

I continued to follow her and we arrived at the park. She sat on a bench, put on her earphones, and sort of relaxed.

I knew it.

I decided to talk to her, since it was the perfect timing. I quietly walked up to her and said, "The famous Hinamori Amu, ditched plans with her best friend just so she can relax in a park?"

Amu jolted and removed her earphones immediately. "Huh? Who are you?!" Amu stuttered as she spoke. "I'm Ikuto, a classmate of yours." I sat down beside her. "So, you're not that sociable are you?"

Amu's POV

"Um...excuse me but I am sociable."

Who is this guy anyway? I haven't seen him ever in class. "Oh really? Then why did you ditch your best friend, Sienna, on a date in the mall?"

My eyes were wide open as he said his words. How did he know? Is he a creepy stalker or some shit?

"What the- who are you to tell me I'm ditching plans with my best friend?!"

"Um, then why are you here alone in the park?"

"It's none of your business anyway! You creepy stalker!"

"You say that, but it's true right? You did ditch your friend over a nice relaxing afternoon in the park?"

"No! Why would you even say that?"

"Because you'd rather be alone than to have fun with your friend, right?"

"Absolutely not!" I was furious. "You know what, fine. I'm so done with your shit." I took my stuff and shoved it in my bag and walked away.

"You can't hide that side of you, Amu." I stopped. I turned around and replied, "What do you mean?"

"The side your always showing. The 'popular rich girl' side. I know that isn't the real you Amu." Ikuto crossed his legs and waited for my reply.

"N-no! That is my true side! I am the kind and trendy person everyone knows!" I exclaimed.

"Oh really? Amu, why are you denying the fact that you're an introvert? Is it embarrassing for you?" Ikuto replied

My lips were shaking and I couldn't speak. I was on the verge of crying, but I have to hold it in. "I'm not denying. I know the fact that I'm an introvert, okay? I just...don't want to let everybody down." I sniffed.

"Why? Does being an introvert bother with your social status? Does it make people think you're not what they think you are?"

"Sorta? It's not just that. My attitude, my sense of style, is different. I really don't want to wear what I wear everyday, I'm not as kind as you think. I'm, different from what you guys think of me."

"Then why don't you try to be like yourself?"

"I'm scared of people judging me. Thinking that I'm a fake."

"Don't let them be your guide. Don't let them tell you what you should be. Be yourself."

After he said that, I ran out of words to say. Except these, "Why are you helping me?"

Ikuto smiled. "Because I'm curious about you. You seem interesting." I blushed lightly. "It isn't reasonable, but okay."

"Well, now that you seem fine, I should get going." Ikuto stood up and started to walk away. No, he can't leave yet.

"Wait!"

Ikuto turned around. "Hm?"

"Are you, still going to help me?" I shyly asked.

He smiled. "Depends on you."

My lips curved and formed into a smile.
