Blackout - Chapter 4
Amy, the black haired girl, is still sitting at the grave silently sobbing. She sighs quickly and light. She has crawled up with her feet so she is not touching the ground anymore.
“I don’t know. Maybe it was meant to happen or some shit…” She smiles at the grave then looks down. The man, who is watching from afar, goes away causing the trees to make a noise. Amy looks up with fear in her eyes. Her dry lips open and close as she sinks again.
“I’m sorry mom. I have to go now.” She stands up still looking at the tree the noise came from. She slowly walks up to the grave pads it and looks at it quickly while she says.
“I better go clean this fucking mess up.” Then she takes a quick look at the tree and run away in the opposite direction.
A moment later she finds herself, heavy breathing, at the spot she first met Cindy. She put her hand to her head messing up her hair. She spins around, still with her hands in her hair, still with make up running down her face, still trying to remember just like she has done for hours.
“Fuck!” She half shouts. She tosses herself against the wall Cindy was standing against the first time they met, then she slides down the wall and sits on the dirty ground. She has run out of tears and is now just sitting with her head in her hands starring into the cold and breezy autumn air. She pulls out her phone and looks at her contact list. It went from being filled with all of her family members’ names to fucking Disneyland’s guest list. She scroll down and find Cindy’s number. She apparently got her number while she was blacked out. She calls it.
Biib – biib – biib.
“Hello?”
“Hey. It’s Am… Angel.” Amy says having a very long and quiet pause after her hey.
Nobody answers after that and she can hear the phone being laid on the table or on another flat surface. A couple of seconds goes by and nothing happens. Amy looks down still having the phone by her ear.
“Hi.” Someone says in the other end. Amy can’t tell if it’s a boy’s or a girl’s voice.
“Hi. Who is this?”
“It’s Cinderella. Who is this?” The other person says. Amy gets nervous since she don’t know what have happened while she was blacked out, so therefore she don’t know if Cindy is mad at her or something. She decides to just go with it.
“Angel.” She can hear the phone hitting the floor and then quickly gets picked up again.
“Are you fucking serious? This is not a Joke? Is it?” Cindy says over the phone.
“I hope not.” Amy answers.
“But… But you….”
“I what?” Amy asks a little too eagerly.
“You should not be calling me. Why are you calling me? They’ve sat a tracker on your phone!” Cindy says freaking out.
“Who are you talking about?” Amy says but nobody answers. She stands up and then yells into the phone
“What the fuck are you talking about!?” Then the line goes dead.
“Hello?” She looks at her phone to make sure the call is over. She messes up her hair again. She places one hand on the wall to help her hold her balance. She’s not dizzy, just confused. Then she put her phone back into her pocket. As soon as her hand touches the inside of the pocket she can feel something else. She’s just about to pull it up when someone shouts behind her.
“Well….! Who do we have here?” A girl voice says. Amy turns around only to be surprised by who it is.
“You know… I have searched the whoooole City… Just trying to find you.” The girl says having long breaks in between her sentences.
“How impressive.” Amy says. Because that’s what she always says when she gets nervous. Something smart and something offensive.
“Hey, no need to be rude.” The girl says sticking out her bottom lip.
“What do you need?” Amy say, surprised over the girls reaction. Amy thought that since their first meeting they would probably become friends, but since she is acting with an aggressive attitude, then she might be wrong.
“Oh. My little Angel. The one who sends everyone to heaven.” She says looking up at the sky. Then she looks back down at Amy again.
“I think you know what I need.” She then continues in a harsh voice. A man in black cloth is coming up behind Amy without her paying attention to it. Amy is even more confused now.
“What the fuck Summer, what?” Amy says looking at Summer. The Girl.
The man grabs Amy, holding a hand in front of her mouth so she can’t speak and lift her off the ground so she can’t run away. Amy is terrified. She didn’t see the man and her reflexes are slow, which was probably because of the drugs and her blackout. You can see in her eyes that she wasn’t expecting this. Summer steps a bit closer to the man and Amy. Amy is trying to scream under his hand but fail, she is kicking with her feet but does not hit anything. Summer slowly brush her over her cheek, filled with black mascara.
“You.” She says. Amy is just able to hear it before the man smashes her head into the wall, she is only conscious a couple of minutes after that. In that time her head glides down the wall and she’s staring blank in the air. Suddenly her head starts to remember, a scene is playing for her eyes within a couple of seconds.
*Flashback*
Amy is running up a hill. She is laughing and being happy. But her eyes are not. They’re dead. Someone’s after her. Amy falls on the green grass. She is still laughing. The girl that has been running after falls down next to her. It’s Winter. They’re still laughing. Amy pulls up a few of the yellow pills and some other ones. She hands some to Winter. They both swallow at the same time and then keep laughing. Suddenly Winter starts to cough. In the start Amy just laugh at her but then it’s getting more and more intense. Winter is lying on the grass in pain. Amy flips her over and then tries to get contact with her but Winter is just breathing slower and slower. Amy sits up and cries out for help but no one is coming. Winter is trying so hard to breath. Amy is brushing her hair back and tries to get winter to focus. But she fails. Winter suddenly stops breathing and slowly fall relaxed to the ground. Amy keeps mumbling a lot of things. Nothing important just words. Just words.
*Flashback over*
Amy is seeing the scene over and over again. She is being picked up by the man but she does not notice it. Something keeps playing in her head.
“The one who sends everyone to heaven…” Summers words keeps rolling inside of her. Inside of her brain. Inside of her heart.
“The one who sends everyone to heaven…” The man is walking behind Summer, so Summer doesn’t know that Amy is not blacked out.
“I have killed her…” She silently says as she blacks out.
