Continuing from the last chapter

Chloe's P.O.V.

I looked at Ryan completely and underly shocked. I was scared. Yeah I knew werewolves can't kill there mates.... unless they reject them or they get rejected themselves then they can do whatever they want. I slightly scooted away from him and held my hands in my lap looking down and playing with my hands. "Chloe please look at me." Ryan said pain and hurt in his voice. I looked at him as tears were forming in his eyes making me want to cry. He took my hand and I looked and my hand interlocked with his. "Chloe I love you but I will completely understand if you decide to reject me. If you need time to think about it I'll give you all the time you need." He said and he forced a small smile on his face.

"Ryan I-I-I love you too. I'm so happy to be your mate, and hopefully I'll someday be the mother of your children. I know we only just met yesterday but I'd be extremely happy being with you for the rest of my life." I said telling him the honest truth. His eyes lit up like fireflies and he pulled me into a strong hug. I giggled as I hugged him back. I heard a knock on the door. "Ryan as much as I don't want to leave your arms we really need to go to school." I said pulling away and he nodded. We got up and walked downstairs.

"Finally the little slut and her one night stand are ready to go." Natalie said to her friends and they all laughed. Tears formed in my eyes and I reached for Ryan's hand. He grabbed mine quickly and pretty much dragged me out the door.

"Sweetheart we're walking to school." He said slowing down and wrapping his arm around my shoulders. "I hate the way they treat you like your nothing. I promise my little vampire as long as I'm alive I'll protect you from people like them." He said and I smiled. His little vampire. I liked the sound of that. I rested my head on his shoulder as we kept walking.

"Ryan isn't it against the 'wolf code' to have a vampire as a mate?" I asked remembering what my mother would tell me about falling in love with a werewolf or even being a werewolf's mate. I looked up at him and he looked down at me. He thought for a bit then finally said.

"Well my little vampire it is 'illegal' among my kind but once I turned 14 and got my 'mate call' I knew she was a vampire. I told my parents and they approved as long as I was happy, but an enimy pack found out so the killed everyone including my parents making me a rouge. So long story short I looked everywhere to find you and when I finally did I was so happy I could die." He said making my heart melt. "If I can prove that a wolf and a vampire can get along and love eachother as mates then the wolf council will lift the 'vampire and werewolf mates law' making it ok for us to be together." He said. I smiled at the thought of not only us being together but the fact that if Ryan and I prove to the wolf council that a werewolf and vampire can be together that all werewolf vampire mates can be happy together. Rayn and I only just met yesterday and I love him more than anything in this world.

I smiled at him and he smiled at me. "Oh look we're here." I said clearly stating the obvious. He nodded and we walked into the building.

I still held Ryan's hand and smiled at him as we kept walking. "Look the sl*t's finally here." I heard Natalie call out. "Hey why don't you go get lost in the woods like the stupid blonde you are." She taunted making her friends laugh.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Ryan yelled once he seen the tears in my eyes. "JUST BECAUSE SHE'S PRETTIER THAN YOU DOSEN'T MEAN YOUR JEALOUS A**ES HAVE TO TREAT HER LIKE CRAP!" He yelled again. Natalie smirked and tried to hold back a laugh.

"Us jealous of that. Ha not a chance. I'd rather eat my own hair then be jealous of her. Like I said Ryan she's not worth your time. If you ever want someone worth your time you know where to find me." She said the last part in a very flirty tone. She walked away with her hips swaying from side to side as she whispered about me. I looked up at Ryan and smiled.

"Thank you wolfy." I said with a smirk, and he chuckled.

"Anything for you vampy." He replied and I giggled with a blush. He kissed my cheek and we walked off to first period which was math. Ryan sat next to me and a long boring school day began.
