Chapter nine

Briar
We arrived at the park. We were basically the only ones here, it was great. I love the park, it's probably my favourite place in this lousy town. One day I would love to travel around the world. It would be so fun to see all of those amazing places and sites. Myles and I sit down on the swings and talk. "So when do you think we are going to get these cuffs?" I ask him. "I don't know but hopefully soon." I can't help but feel a little disappointed at his response I thought he liked hanging out with me. Well why would he I'm just this nerdy, ugly, talentless teenager. Nothing special unlike Maddie who could get any boy to fall for her instantly. "Oh yeah me too." I say disheartened. He seems a little confused by my lack of enthusiasm. I'm falling for Myles. I canst help it the handcuffs really have bought us closer. I had to hand it to my principal but this was a great idea with exception for the difficulty of going to the toilet, showering and changing. Just then a feel a ding in my back pocket. I pull out my phone and glance at the text. "Myles, my mum texted that the principal found the key and that we can get the handcuffs off." I say quickly. "Ok let's go." We practically ran home after that. By the time we reached my front door we were panting like crazy. We ran inside to face our principal. "Oh hello Mr Erlick and Miss Nolet, how are you today?" We don't even bother to answer his question. "Yeah yeah key?" I say in between pants. He smiles he then walks over to us with the little object that will save me. Save me from the hardest two weeks of my life. Yep that's right we were handcuffed for TWO FRICKEN WEEKS!!! He unlocks the handcuffs and takes them off our wrists. "I'll be taking these, I have two freshman boys who are always arguing." He then winks and walks outside to his car. "Ok Myles get out!" I say bluntly. "Briar be nice." My mum apologises to him and he walks out. I then run up to my room and take the longest shower known to mankind. I swear I was in there for about an hour. I washed my hair three times, I washed my body six, I put on my scrub and shaved. It felt so refreshing finally having a shower. I hopped out and changed into fresh new clothes. Ahh that feels good. I'm a clean freak. If I'm not clean at all times I get a little...angry. I apply natural makeup, go to the toilet and jump on my bed. I actually fall asleep and have a little nap. I wake up an hour later and play on my phone. I text Jessy and ask her if she wants to come over. She quickly replies with yes and that she's on her way, I bet she only wants to come over because she wants to know all the juicy details that happened while I was trapped with the schools jock for fourteen days. I just chill for ten minutes when a knock is heard from my door.
