Handcuffed

Chapter eleven

Briar's POV
I cannot believe that jerk Myles told EVERYONE my deepest secret. I thought I was starting to like him, I thought he was starting to like me, but I guess I was wrong. I walk out onto the field for PE. Now that I have the handcuffs off I can go to my own classes, but since I really liked Mr Henwood the principal let me stay here. I was really glad that I got to stay with Myles but now I'm dreading it more than ever. As I walk out every one starts to snicker and whisper to each other. I glare at them signalling for them to shut up and they get the message seeing how mad I am at Myles. I storm over to Myles and stop in front of him giving him a glare. Oh if looks could kill right now I would have killed Myles and his future kids. He stops talking to his friends and looks up at me seeing my furious face. I cross my arms and glare harder at him. "What do you want?" He says innocently. I thought we were past the denial section. "Seriously Myles? this? Again?" Everyone else has gone silent because they want to listen to the explosion of drama going up between us. "You're such a fucking asshole Myles!" I shout at him getting frustrated. His jaw shoots open and he stands up. Being the shorty I am, Myles towers over me and I feel somewhat intimidated but make sure not to show it. It's just a constant reminder that he is allot stronger than me and could easily hurt me, but I'm pretty sure he won't go that low into actually, physically hurting me. "What makes you think you can speak to me like that?" I scoff and roll my eyes. "I can say what I want to." "Yeah but you don't need to act like a bitch about it." I am rolling my eyes so much I swear I could see my brain. "Oh shut up." I snap back at him. He crosses his arm too. How hasn't the teacher come yet? "Gosh Briar why are you so annoying?" Oh he wants to play this game. "Well why are you so stupid?" I fire back, I could do this all day. "Why are you so bossy?" "Why are you so rude?" "Why are you so cute?" "Why are you so-wait what?!" Did he just say I'm...cute? I didn't know he still had feelings for me after what he said to everyone. He stays silent and looks at the ground, he must have realised what he said. The class has wide eyes and I swear you could here a pin drop. No one would dare make a sound and miss whatever's coming next. "Myles what did you just say?" He doesn't talk. "Myles?" He still stares at the ground and I'm getting frustrated. "Ok I'm going to count to three and if you don't talk to me I swear I will kill you.....ONE!" He doesn't even flinch at my death threat even though I was exaggerating. "TWO!" That's it I'm getting mad. "THREE!!!!!!!" He has a mouth for a reason he should fucking use it! "OK Myles I have had enough you bett-" I get cut off by Myles pulling me closer to him by the waist and kissing me flush on the lips. I'm shocked but instantly kiss back. The class all gasps in perfect sync. Obviously shocked that a couple a weeks ago we absolutely HATED each other and know we are kissing. My hands find their way around his neck and it honestly feels really good. I instantly forget about the taunting and laughing that people were doing to me before. The girls are cooing and the smart-ass boys are making catcalls. It's the best feeling ever having his soft lips on mine. At least I know he feels the same way about me. We continue making out and I'm pretty sure some of the people are taking pictures. That will definitely be on Instagram later. As I open my mouth and let Myles' tongue slip into it I feel an arm on my shoulder and it shoves me away from Myles. I look up to see the one and only Maddie. She must have been cutting class and walked past and saw us making out. Whoopsie. She is giving me a glare and once again the class has gone silent. Maddie turns to me and folds her arms. Normally I'd be intimidated by her power but right now I'm just pissed off that she interrupted Myles and I. "What do you think your doing with MY boyfriend?" She says impatiently. Myles sighs. "Maddie I broke up with you remember and you are with Adam?" She turns to him and glares. "I wasn't asking you MYLES!" For someone that she supposedly 'loves' she sure treats Myles like rubbish. "Briar, stay away from him, he loves me." I clench my jaw. This chick doesn't know who she's messing with. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't realise Myles loved slutty, bitchy girls like you." I fight back making the class chuckle. Her face goes from mad to absolutely livid. "You're just a loser with no talent." I burst out laughing. "And you have talent? OK sure I'll play along." My laughter fails to die down but Maddie isn't laughing. "I'm head cheerleader, I have way more talent then you, I bet you can't even do a cartwheel." She proceeds to do two one-handed cartwheels and a walkover. She finishes with a smirk but her smirk soon fades as she sees my even larger smirk and the evil glint in my eye. Her eyes widen as I walk over to her slowly. "That was impressive but that's absolutely nothing compared to my talent." She tries to act confident but I can see right through her. She's scared. She doesn't want to lose her power and she can sense that I'm about to take it all away from her in a blink of an eye. "Fine...let's see what you got Nolet." I smile sweetly before putting my badass face on. A face that has helped me with many, many situations. Maddie had this coming though, she bullies innocent people just because she thinks she is better than everyone else, well I don't think so. I prepare my self while everyone watches silently, afraid of what I'm going to do. I run forward and do six really fast back handsprings into a back layout, which gets gasps and applause from everyone. I then turn around and do three front aerials, a side aerial and a leap. I do turns and a needle. I do a backhand spring to the ground and then a toe roll upwards. I finish all of this with a front Arial to the ground and a split pull through. I get up to face everyone and there was not one person without a shocked face. No one knows I dance except Jessy and Abbey, since they do it with me. I pretend to brush off some dust on my shoulder like that was the easiest thing in the world. Mrs Gursley runs up to me, she is the cheer coach. "Briar your acro is incredible, would you like to replace Maddie and be head cheerleader?" I turn around and smirk at Maddie who looks, mad yet impressed that I, a short, nerdy little girl who has never been noticed before, had just stolen her boyfriend and her head cheerleader position. "I would love to." She nods and rushes off to probably get me a uniform or call my mum. I grab Myles by the hand and start to walk off. I stop in my tracks when I reach Maddie. "Paybacks a bitch ain't it, hon." I just roasted the most popular girl in the school. I see Maddie huff and storm off to her locker while everyone else laughs hysterically. I walk with Myles to the park. We don't care that we are skipping school and will probably get a detention. We just want to be with each other. We take a seat on a bench underneath a massive willow tree. I lean into Myles and he puts his arm around me. Our hands still linked as one. "Did you mean to call me cute?" I ask curiously and sheepishly. He chuckles and looks down at me. "Of course, you're adorable and feisty." I giggle and snuggle into him tighter. "Bri you need to believe me that I didn't tell everyone your secret." "Ok I believe you, I can't stay mad at someone as attractive as you." He laughs. Ahh his laugh is just so refreshing. "So Briar after all that happened I haven't asked you to date me yet so....would you like to be my girlfriend." I feel butterflies in my stomach and I can't believe I have my first boyfriend and that it's actually the Myles Erlick. Oh gosh I sound like Abbey and Jessy, wait till I tell them, they will freak out. "I would love to be your girlfriend." I lean up and kiss him gently. So here I am kissing my arch nemesis, that is now my boyfriend, after showing up the most popular girl in school. And to think I sometimes think my life is boring!
