3- Please Just Trust Me

Jumping in my car, I floored the car and sped off to Harry's house. Whatever Esther needed it was urgent.

I pulled up outside, and hopped out of the car. Running up to the door, I was about to push open the door when an arm shot out of the bushes and pulled me onto the grass.

Ow. I swatted at the person until a familiar face came into view. "Gosh, can you be any louder?," Esther said with red eyes and mascara smeared.

"What happened?," I asked. "Look," she said and pointed towards the window. I crawled through the bushes and peeked over the ledge. I could barely see through the curtains but two dark figures were on the bed. The bed. A bed.

It must be Harry and some other girl.

"Is that Harry?!," I asked.

"Yeah, I saw him... Walk in with some blonde chick," she said in between sobs, "he was mad but I didn't think he would ditch me so fast."

"It's okay," I said hugging her,"You were too good for him anyway. Let's get you home."

"No. Not yet," she said and before I could stop her she jumped out from my grasp and threw opens Harry's front door. I ran after her in time to hear her yelling at Harry.

"I came over here to apologise for my drunken state last night and this is what I get in return! You and some other girl? I hate you! I hate you Harry! You're the worst thing that ever happened to me," she yelled and before she could embarrass herself further, I ran in and grabbed her arm.

I finally saw who Harry was with, and to say I was surprised would be a complete understatement.

"Alicia?," I asked shocked.

"You know the bitch?," Esther asked me confusion written all over her tear-stained face.

"Yeah, she's the captain of the colorguard," I said still staring at Alicia who was giving me a long hard stare as well.

"Reid is going to hate you!," Esther screamed at Alicia.

Reid? Who?

"Reid is the captain's boyfriend. They've been together for like 5 months. That's all going to waste now," Esther said answering my thoughts.

"You are not going to tell Reid," Alicia said worry laced in her voice,"Or else... I'll make sure Emma never gets a solo or spotlight dance."

Esther snapped her focus to me asking me mentally if I wanted to go through with it or not. I wanted solos though, and in just the first days of being in colorguard I've already declared war with the captain. Great.

"Fine. We won't tell Reid, but I promise you he'll find out by himself eventually," I said crushing Esther's spirits.

"We'll see about that," Alicia said pushing me aside and walking out the front door muttering under her breath. Harry looked shocked as he glanced between Esther and I. "For the record, I broke up with you," Esther said as she flipped her hair and walked off defiantly.

"You're horrible," I said,"Seriously. Alicia?," I asked and walked away leaving a confused and startled Harry in our wake.

After the whole incident with Alicia and Harry, I decided to take a broken-hearted Esther out to go get some ice cream, let her talk it out.

"Cookies and Cream, please," I told the cashier. She scooped the ice cream and placed it in a bowl and then scooped Esther's flavour and placed that in a bowl.

"That'll be five dollars," she said as I fished around in my purse. "Here," I said and placed the bill on the counter. I joined Esther at the table and she was staring off into the distance. "Hey there Esther," waving my hand in front of her face,"What are you thinking about?"
