-Chapter 12-
-Sky's POV-
Shit shit, shitty shit shit!
I knew Ty was just trying to protect me by getting me out of the house. But that would mean leaving Ty ALONE with HIM, which I was wasn't about to do anytime soon.
He gave me those eyes again. Those begging eyes that seemed to shove me out.
I gave him a 'I'll be back, I swear to god' look, then ran out the door, slamming it hard behind me.
I laid against the door frame on the other side, listening to the angry shouts of my boyfriends brother. I heard many insults among them, some no one, and I mean NO ONE, should go through life hearing.
I heard banging and crashing, and I broke down crying. I...I left Ty...alone...with that! What kind of friend am I, never mind boyfriend??? I shrank down, my feet crumbling under me. I laid against the door, my head in my arms and my body shaking. I took a few heavy sobs and shudders.
"Okay, okay." I murmured to myself, struggling to pull myself together. I took a deep breath and nodded. What to do, what to do...
'If it ever happens again,' Lindsay from the airport has said. 'Call 911.'
911... I thought. Perfect! I scrambled to my feet, nearly doubling over into the wall because of how fast I went.
I raced down the stairs, taking two at a time. A loud thud was heard every time I landed, but I doubted anyone could hear it over the shouting upstairs.
I landed at the bottom, the rug nearly slipping out from under me. I shrieked and steadied myself before sprinting to the kitchen.
I stood at the doorway and stuck my hands in my jeans pocket, shuffling around. My heart skipped a beat when I realized I had left my phone upstairs...
I started panicking. I remembered Ty putting his phone down...I wasn't sure if he picked it back up...or where he put it down, for that matter...
My eyes frantically danced around the room, searching every cranny. Finally, I spotted a small, cellular object laying on the table counter. "Yes..!" I muttered, diving to grab it.
I flipped it open, studying the keypad for a moment before typing it in...
9...1...1...
"Hello, what is your emergency?" Asked a gentle sounding woman on the other side of the phone.
I quickly told her the main story, and she listened carefully. Finally I finished in tears. I wiped them away, determined at the task at hand.
"You did the right thing, calling us. What's your address, sweetheart?" That voice was disturbingly familiar, but I brushed it off and gave her Ty's address.
"Helps coming soon. Are you his best friend?" She asked slowly as if it was a sensitive subject. I think she was just trying to pull my attention away from the constant banging upstairs.
"Well..." I stuttered, the words not quite forming in my mouth. "A little...little more?"
"That's just fine, sweetie. Nothing to be ashamed of. Well make sure hell be okay, I promise." She reassured. If I had seen her, I swear she would be smiling,
Suddenly, there was a loud and demanding knock at the door. "That's them!" I cried, realizing how fast they had really come. I snapped Ty's phone shut and ran to the door, once again almost tripping over the carpets.
"God dammit, get rid of the fucking carpets!" I shouted angrily, regaining my balance. I forced the door open.
In front of me stood 5 men, one in front of them all like a leader. They all dressed in grey ambulance and cop uniforms.
"Upstairs." I said, standing out of their way. They nodded and pushed past me, heading to the stairs.
I followed, ringing my hands nervously. Luke never threatened to KILL Ty before, so he wouldn't today...right?
