Austria x Hungary

She stood there silently listening as Austria played his piano. She watched as his fingers flew over the keys. “He makes playing the piano look so easy and graceful.” She thought sighing to herself.

Austria turns to her once the song is finished. “So Hungary how was it?” he asked staring straight at her.

Hungary smiles as she responds “It was beautiful as always Austria.”

He smiles at her “I’m glad. I spent a long time on this one.”

“That’s the most beautiful song that I’ve ever hear you play.” She said blushing slightly.

Austria looked down slightly blushing also. “Would you like to hear it again?” he asked kind of shyly.

“I would love to!” Hungary replied cheerfully.

Austria turned around and placed his fingers over the keys “You can sit beside me if you want Hungary you don’t have to stand there.” He said looking down at the keys.

“O-okay.” Hungary says blushing.

She sits down beside him and he starts to play. She watches as his fingers fly over the keys, hitting each key as if it was actually his fingers playing and not him. They glided perfectly over the keys not missing a note.

She closed her eyes for a moment listening to the beautiful sound of the song Austria was playing when she heard the sound of a note that didn’t belong and the song stopped altogether. She opened her eyes and looked over to Austria.

She was about to ask him what’s wrong when his lips crashed against hers. She sat there in shock for a moment. Once she realized what was happening she kissed him back.

As quickly as it happened it ended. She was left sitting there in confusion and a feeling of sadness. “I’m so sorry Hungary I don’t know what came over me.” He said looking down at his hands.

Hungary his hands and smiled at him as he looked up at her blushing “It’s ok Austria,” she paused and started to blush herself “To be honest with you I actually liked it.”

He looked at her kind of shocked and then smiles “I love you Hungary, I’ve loved you for a long time, this song I wrote it for you.” He confessed blushing even darker.

Hungary hugs him and whispers in his ear “I love you too Austria, I always have.”

She kisses him and he kisses her back.

 It’s been almost 2 years now since Austria and Hungary confessed their love for each other.

Austria sat patiently in the park as he waited for Hungary. “Where is she? She should have been here half an hour ago,” he says to himself as he looks down at his watch. “I hope nothing bad happened to her.”

Just as he started to worry about her because she is never late he hears a sound behind him. He turns around and gets tackled to the ground. He looks up to see Hungary looking down at him smiling brightly.

“Looking for someone?” she asked cheerfully.

“Not anymore.” He says as he pulls her into a hug and kisses her.

They lay there like that for a while until they finally pulled apart.

Austria helps Hungary up an then kneels down in front of her.

“Austria what are you-.” She started but stopped when he grabbed her hand.

“Hungary, I love you with all my heart, I love you even more than music, so Hungary will you do me the honour, of being my wife?” He asked as he pulled out a little black box and opens it to reveal a beautiful diamond ring.

Hungary covered her mouth as she started to cry. Then she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him and exclaimed “Yes! Yes I will marry you Austria!”

Austria placed the ring on her finger and kissed her before taking her hand and they walked home together.
