"Hey I'm down the street, she's passed out in her car seat." Jake laughs a little.
"Oh shit. Ok. I'll have your gas money ready." I grab my wallet off of my pillow.
"Alright. I'll see you in a minute."
"Alright.." I hang up, grab my sweater and umbrella. I put my wallet in my back pocket and put my sweater on. I leave my room, closing the door behind me and walk down all the stairs. Once I get to the last staircase I run down them, past my dad, stepmom, and a maid.
"Why are you running?" My dad asks, holding his phone away from his face.
"She runs in heals better than I do." My step mom comments.
I skid to a stop behind the door. "My baby is here." II open the door and see Jake's Range Rover drive into the parking area.
"Jim, I'm going to have to call you back I'm meeting my granddaughter for the first time." My dad ends the call he was on and walks outside with me. Mary, his wife, stays with the maid and walks around the foryard pointing to the curtains and tables.
