Prologue.

She walked into the room with a gust of lovely perfume. It was strong like tequila and sweet like oranges. I needed a bite, a taste, just something to last me the night. I arose from my chair by the bar and walked over; my hand clutched the fake ID in my pocket. Across the room, I strolled to the beat of Thirst by City and Colour. She was alone, waiting for someone, or just eyeing me up. Her face turned red as I approached and a proud smirk grew on my face. Leaning down I whispered the words to the song in her ear. 'Graceful in curves, I thirst'. She giggled and slid her arm through mine as I led her to the bar.

"You seem quite adorable I may just have to eat you up." I smiled childishly at her words.

"I'm not much younger than you; yet I had you blushing the moment you walked in." She giggled and smirked.

"So, youngster, who are you?" she sat on the bar stool looking up at me with a drink in her hand.

"I miss; I am the greatest of the great, the powerful and outmost adoring, Skylah, but, only pretty women; like yourself for example, can call me Sky."

"That's cute, I'm Alex." She smiled looking into my eyes.

"Miss Alex, don't let me impose, but, may I ask if you're available? Even for tonight."

"I'm flattered darling, yet I don't think I am, tonight," she paused and checked her watch. "I have a craving if you could call it that." Smirking I sat down and ordered another drink.

"Alex," I leaned down to whisper in her ear. "Don't check your watch tonight." Whispering sweet nothings in her ear she giggled sipping on her drink.

Smiling for the rest of the night, I could barely contain myself. Saturday nights, were surely what I lived for. Dancing, kissing, and touching; I hadn't stopped till the moment I stepped into her apartment. I reached up her blouse and did what I did best.

"Love me Darling, just for the night." She pulled me into her embrace and kissed me. "But tomorrow morning, leave before I wake up." Kissing me over and over again I was pulled into the bedroom. Clothing, gone in seconds; it was ecstasy. Pure ecstasy; we were grabbing every which way for anything that could be torn away. The room had turned a million degrees hotter. Her eyes, darker, my face, deeper into the crook of her neck; ecstasy.

'Leave before I wake up.' My eyes opened to an unfamiliar place. I lifted my head and looked at the clock by the bedside. 3:57. I slowly lifted myself up still mildly under the influence, and got out of the bed. Searching across the room I began to dress myself. Stumbling few times, I heard Alex's breathing change.

"Darling, there's money on the fridge for a taxi." She whispered from over her shoulder. "It was a fun night, bye Sky." Arising herself she kissed my cheek and turned over, covering herself with the sheet. I stared back at her momentarily. Reaching over to pull the covers up a bit more, I sighed.

Walking over to the kitchen, I reached up on top of the fridge and grabbed whatever was there, smart woman. I reached into my pocket and got the note I left most on nights like this. Leaving it where the money was. I walked out closing the door behind myself. Hailing a cab in the midnight Vancouver was tiresome; it wasn't till I was opening the door to my own apartment that I had shared with my mother that it had sunk in. It wasn't Saturday night. It was Sunday night.

Groaning to myself I found my way to my bed with a glass of water, in no need for a morning hangover. Tomorrow led to another tiresome week of school.
